What if Bramblestar is voted off as a leader because of how he isn’t seeming like the good leader he used to be? Probably not gonna happen since both medicine cats are his sons. I saw something about Finchlight not being trustworthy…wonder what’s gonna happen with that. Also on twitter I saw a theory about Mapleshade being the villain since what’s happening in RiverClan is like the same situation as what happened in Crookedstar’s Promise. That would be interesting. Why does it have to be a seven months till Sky the wait is gonna kill me D:

Hopefully Tigerstar 2 doesn’t kick the bucket, everyone else can die for all I care [but i do love leafstar]
My thoughts on River:
Loved the book, great introduction to the new arc. Seems to be written a bit differently: more dialog and more cats involved, which is great.
Loved Flampaw: he questions old ways and thinks out if the box, he will be great when it comes to change the code and reform the clams (which I think will happen). Not sure about his warrior name though, hoped for Flamesong…
Poor Sunbeam, betrayed by her best friend Lightleap (who is a horrible brat in this book) and rejected by her love. I do hope Sun and Blaze will get together again later and not SunxFlame. Flame is needed in TC I think.
And RC: I was expecting Misty and Reed to die but not so early in the story. And yes, I guess his death is Lightleap’s doing, accident but still her fault… Am nor very excited about Frostpaw, she seems a bit bland. Don’t understand why her connection to Starclan is so vague – every other cat can see and hear them properly, why are they not guiding her correctly when RC needs it so badly? Curl’s death was a shock, now everyone will think Frost chose the wrong cat.
All in all, really great book!
Oh, forgot to say: poor Bramblestar: I can imagine he is traumatized after being a ghost in the dark forest so long and Squirrel is not very supportive here. I think he should just step down or retire and let Squirrel become leader.

Theory: Bramblestar has early onset dementia or Alzheimer’s. (Probably dementia) He has some early symptoms, (increasing confusion.

Also, even if he is nicer in this arc, he still needs to FULLY apologize for the events in Squirrelflights Hope.
Squirrelflight was strict at times, but she was tortured by ashfur too. She needs a break.

I am actually excited to see more of Berryheart-it’s interesting to see a potential antagonist who isn’t completely evil.
As for Bramble, I think he’s much more heavily implied to have PTSD in some form and/or depression (the word “depressed” is actually used to describe him several times in the book). He mentions having nightmares, getting “lost in memory,” and he’s constantly tired. That’s definitely a surprise if it’s true-and a pretty realistic outcome from the events of TBC.
