What is Whispering Shadows?

Whispering Shadows is my Warriors OC comic series. I’m still working on it and I’m very passionate about the characters and plot because it is (loosely) based around something that happened in my life and the characters are based of off people I actually know!

The story takes place on an island in the Pacific Ocean (most likely Hawaii). It will focus around my 3 original clans WaveClan, MountanClan, and PetalClan. The main protagonist will be a WaveClan warrior named Shellfrost.

Plot

The Oceans Song- In WaveClan Shellpaw, Gullpaw, Gingerpaw, Seedpaw, Nightpaw, and Reedpaw become apprentices. Shellpaw is apprenticed to Driftshine and Reedpaw becomes the medicine cat apprentice (the rest are warriors). A few days later Shellpaw, Gingerpaw, Seedpaw, and Nightpaw go to the gathering and meet Rosepaw, Shadowpaw, Jadepaw, Sagepaw, and Foxpaw. They are all good friends at first before separating into different cliques a litter later on into their apprenticeships. Even though they aren’t all good friends they are all accounted together as the ‘new popular apprentices’. Even though Shellpaw is in a “group” with Seedpaw, Nightpaw, Rosepaw, Sagepaw, and Shafowpaw she doesn’t necessarily like them and often talks about them behind their backs with her friends Gingerpaw, Jadepaw, Foxpaw, and Coralpaw (one of the older apprentices). Shellpaw and her mentor Driftshine have a good mentor-apprentice bond. Shellpaw is good at hunting, swimming, and fighting in water, but she needs work on fighting on land. Shellpaw is kind of embarrassed about this. Shellpaw and her sister Gullpaw don’t have a good relationship. They often argue and get into fights. Shellpaw thinks Gullpaw is the most annoying cat ever. Meanwhile her relationship with her parents is okay, she feels like they favor Gullpaw and always criticize her (Shellpaw). WaveClan has always had conflicts with MountainClan (and some with PetalClan) so there are some border fights. WaveClan is currently the strongest of the 3 clans.
Blood Tide- WaveClan is effected by red tide which weakens WaveClan a lot. Lots of WaveClan cats die due to this. Meanwhile Seedpaw and another WaveClan apprentice named Stormpaw seem to be in mate like relationship. Stormpaw decides to end their relationship because his mother died and he wants to focus on a family and his warrior ceremony is approaching. Because of the red tide WaveClan’s deputy died and Driftshine becomes deputy. Shellpaw, Gingerpaw, and Coralpaw/flower often talk poorly about the other apprentices behind their backs. Shellpaw and her friends seem to talk about Seedpaw and Nightpaw the most even though Seed and Night aren’t that mean to them. Seedpaw and Nightpaw are slightly stuck up though. WaveClan is struggling a lot because of the red tide and the clan is noticeably smaller and weaker.
The Broken Clan- The red tide is finally gone but WaveClan is weak and broken. The other clans especially MountainClan (they have had a rivalry with them for a very long time). Shellpaw and her generation will become warriors at the end of the book. Shellpaw is very nervous about this because she regrets not living in the moment during her apprenticeship and is very nervous about being a warrior. Shellpaw continues to talk poorly about the other apprentices until her mother overhears her conversation and lectures her on her behavior. She feels really bad about how she treated the other apprentices. One day at training Driftshine sees that Shellpaw looks upsets and she asks her what’s wrong. Shellpaw tells her about how she said rude things about the some of other apprentices. Driftshine comforts her and tells her that she is still a good cat one one of the nicest cats she’s ever met. She tells Shellpaw about how when she was an apprentice she was unpopular when she was an apprentice because she was so mean. Shellpaw is very surprised because Driftshine is so nice. Shellpaw and her generation become warriors. Shellpaw is given the name Shellfrost.
Mountain and Ocean- WaveClan is now fully recovered from the red tide but they have lost a lot of warriors and ate not as strong as they were at the begging of the series. Shellfrost continues to be acquaintances with Shadowblossom, Sagefeather, Rosethorn, Foxspring, and Jademist. They talk at gatherings and sometimes secretly meet up at night to talk. Meanwhile Nighttail and Seedstripe are jealous of eachother and often get into arguments. It’s hinted that Nighttail is toxic to Seedstripe. Shellfrost is enjoying being a warrior. Seedstripe has depression . Meanwhile WaveClan and MonitionClan are on the verge of war. Shellfrost has a small crush on Seedstripe. The two she cats start to become better friends.
Path of Death- Shadowblossom and Sagefeather are exiled from MountainClan for attempting to murder Foxspring. Rosethorn wants to leave MountainClan because she feels like she has no friends left. Nighttail is also very upset about the exile because she was also close with Shadowblossom and Sagefeather. The cats who were involved in the attempted murder besides Sage and Shadow were Rosethorn, Nighttail, and Seedstripe. They are not exiled even though some cats want them to be. The exile is all everyone can talk about. An apprentice in PetalClan is murdered. PetalClan blames it on WaveClan. Throughout the book Seedstripe and Shellfrost are becoming better friends. They become mates at the end of the book. Seedstripe and Nighttails relationship is going downhill. Some cute (mostly in PetalClan) are mysteriously getting rabies. Foxspring runs away because she no longer feels safe in the Clans.
The Perfect Storm- The clans are now all on the verge of war. Meanwhile the medicine cats are having visions of a terrible storm and more cats are getting rabies including Jademist. When the storm is about to strike WaveClan has to evacuate because they live on the beach but they can’t evacuate safely because of rabid PetalClan cats and aggressive MountainClan cats. The clan is divided because half thinks WaveClan should attack the other clans during the storm and the other half thinks they should evacuate. The WaveClan leader Torrentstar is on her last life so the WaveClan cats think she will die in the storm and Driftshine will become leader. Foxspring returns to MountainClan. When the storm comes WaveClan is forced to evacuate but they end up being attacked by the other 2 clans. They are now at war. When the battle starts Sagefeather and Shadowblossom attack and they also have rabies. Nighttail and Seedstripe get into a huge fight and Nighttail attacks Seedstripe. Shellfrost is forced to kill Jademist. Many cats die including Driftshine. Foxspring kills Shadowblossom by pushing her in the ocean. Sagefeather runs away after watching Shadowblossom die. Rosethorn and Nighttail chase after her. The battle eventually ends with the death of Shddowblossom. Seedstripe and Shellfrost go back to WaveClan camp which is ruined because of the storm. They find out that Driftshine lost a lot of blood and is about to die. They are heartbroken. The two she cats go say goodbye to her and sit with her white she dies. The book ends with and epilogue 6 moons later where Shellfrost and Seedstripe get apprentices.

This is just the outline for the story and a few thighs haven’t been decided yet. I promise the characters have more personality and depth I couldn’t write it all into the outline.
