July Art Contest Results! + Special Announcement!

Heyo, everybody! 😀 We’re back with the results of your very first monthly art contest! The first of many! 🙂

Before we get started, there was an amazing turnout! I’m so pleased with how many people joined! 😀 The participation level was positively astounding! You all had such wonderful art and I had a very hard time judging. 🙂 I feel like the next round will be even harder! 😉

While there are only three winners, just know that all of you had positively fantastic pieces and I can’t wait to see more of your art! 😀 A huge shout-out to everyone who entered – this wouldn’t have happened without you! 🙂

Without further ado, let’s get on to our results!

In third place, with her spookily good representation of the Dark Forest with the use of the Haunted Forest palette, we have. . .

Dewpaw!

Fantastic work, Dewpaw! Thank you! 😀

And in second place, with her positively amazing sketch of a certain character who we all know and don’t necessarily love, we have. . .

Kat!

This is gorgeous, Kat! I loved every bit of it! 🙂

And in first place, the grand prize winner, who will take the crown? With their hauntingly beautiful piece of a certain scene from a certain book, we have. . .

Clampaw! 😀

Absolutely stunning, Clampaw! Beautiful work! 🙂

Again, I loved every one of your entries! I had such a hard time deciding! But that just goes to show how wonderful everyone is. 😉

And now, onto prizes! 🙂

The third place winner will receive

A fursona drawing! It doesn’t have to strictly be your fursona, it can be an OC of yours or a Warriors character, if you prefer. 🙂

The second place winner will receive

Either a fursona drawing (again, it doesn’t have to be your fursona, necessarily!) or get to choose what the Cbox looks like for a day!

The first place winner will receive

All of the above! You get a drawing and get to pick the colours of the Cbox for a day! 🙂

(Note: Colours for the Cbox must be approved by a moderator so as not to blind everyone. Thanks. 😛 )

You can leave your fursona/OC/Warriors character request in the comments below, if you’ve won a fursona drawing. 🙂 If you choose to change the colours of the Cbox, you can contact a moderator and work with them to change the theme! 🙂 There are no specific dates for this, so don’t feel rushed if you can’t do this on a certain day. 🙂

Note from Icy: If you’re interested in helping out with the drawing of the prizes, feel free to contact me, and I’ll further explain the details. 🙂

And now for our very special announcement!

From here on out, we will have alternating art and fanfiction contests! 🙂 These will take place every other month, so as to let everyone show off their skills! 😀 This month we will be having a fanfiction contest, so let’s get onto the prompt!

Prompt

Cats have begun disappearing left and right. But what could be causing this strange occurrence? Only you know. . .

RULES

  • Keep it PG, please! No inappropriate scenes, excessive gore, cursing, etc. Any entries containing anything of this nature will be deleted. 🙂
  • Let your imagination run wild (But not too wild 😉 )! You can use OCs, canon Warriors characters, or even BlogClanners! 🙂

  • If I win. “Whatever color blinds everyone. And make it flashing.”😜

  • My fanfic which I guess is kind of alternate Warriors. And yes it is about Crowfeather…and Breezepelt. (Warning: Somewhat sad)

Foxdung! Crowfeather hissed to himself as the rabbit he was stalking raced into its burrow. The gray tom lashed his tail once before turning solemnly toward camp; this was the fourth hunting patrol he’d been part of today, each one less successful than the first. He knew if he and the other warriors failed to catch anything the clan would be in trouble. Crowfeather shook off the worrisome feelings scratching at his stomach, attempting to catch another scent of a rabbit. Where are they? This makes no sense! There’s always rabbits in Greenleaf! The dark gray tom flattened his ears remembering the cats that had strangely gone missing. To be honest he hadn’t thought much about the missing cats, in fact he hadn’t known that anyone had vanished until Whitetail had told him. Even then he didn’t take it seriously until Breezepelt and Nightcloud had disappeared. Despite the hostility he never ceased to display around his son and ‘mate’, he knew he felt something for them. Something that dragged his paws along numerous failed search parties. In the back of his head, he knew they were gone but his own desire to prove his loyalty pushed him on. He’d return to camp and offer to lead a patrol, after all Nightcloud and Breezepelt weren’t the only missing cats.
“Crowfeather! We’re heading back!” Crowfeather looked up just in time to see his apprentice, Fernpaw, trotting over the moor. The tom took a deep breath before dipping his head.
“Thank you for letting me know, Fernpaw. I’ll be right there.” Crowfeather found himself gazing longingly into ThunderClan territory, memories of past moons flooding his senses. He wanted to be there again, feeling the soft brown fur of the she-cat he truly loved brushing against him once more, but deep inside his bones he knew those moons were over. Crowfeather, full of sadness and remembrance, rose weakly to his paws before joining his apprentice.
“Are you okay, Crowfeather? You look like you just ran through a thorn bush!” Fernpaw purred jokingly. Crowfeather shook his head, clearing it fully from Leafpool.
“I’m fine. I guess I’m just thinking about the missing cats.” The tom suddenly lashed his tail. “What are we doing wasting time here?! There’s prey to be hunted and patrols to be on! WindClan doesn’t waste time, Fernpaw!”
“But you were the one that was down there-” Crowfeather felt somewhat guilty for snapping at Fernpaw but he couldn’t let her know the truth. No one could know that he still thought about Leafpool. No cat.
“That doesn’t matter right now! The clan should be the only thing on your mind! Now did you manage to catch anything out here?” He barely looked at her.
“Not much. I only managed to catch a small rabbit. I doubt it’ll feed any cat but Whitetail.” Crowfeather found himself nodding in agreement.
“That’s fine, you still managed to find something out here.” A harsh sigh shook his chest. “We better get back to camp though, it’s not like we’ll find anything else out here.” Fernpaw fixed her mentor with a forlorn glance.
“Um…Crowfeather, do you think we will find the missing cats? I-I really miss Larkwing and my parents.” Crowfeather’s blood froze at her question. The tom found himself unable to look the apprentice in her eyes.
“Of course we’ll find them. WindClan cats always try to find their way home.” Except you! You ran away! He scolded himself, picking up his pace.
“Oh, I’m sorry Crowfeather! I didn’t mean to bring up Nightcloud and Breezepelt…I know you don’t show it but you must feel so sad…” Fernpaw’s eyes widened regretfully. The tom shook his head.
“No, you’re fine. I do miss them very much, just like you miss your parents.” He lied awkwardly, worried she’d ask another question. “Oh look camp is right here and it looks like Harestar is just about to make an announcement. Put your prey on the freshkill pile quickly!” Crowfeather ordered before darting to the group of cats clustered around Harestar.
“Cats of WindClan, or what is left of WindClan, I carry with me some tragic news. The search patrols have not found any of the missing cats, in fact I will only send out one more patrol.” Harestar’s eyes shifted to his deputy Leaftail. “I’d like Leaftail to lead it. He can take Brindlepaw, Fernpaw, Featherpelt, and Oatclaw.” Crowfeather angrily rose to his paws.
“Harestar if I may speak, I lost cats too! I’d like to go with if you wouldn’t mind!” He hissed coldly, his pelt bristling with defiance. Harestar’s eyes burned into the warrior’s pelt.
“You want to go on this patrol?” Harestar’s ears twitched. “And you can’t possibly mean you want to go find Breezepelt and Nightcloud? The whole clan knows you hate them.” The rest of the clan adjusted their head to face Crowfeather. He’s right, I’ve never cared about them before…I never should have used her! Never! I should have faced the glares each and every waking moment for the rest of my life! I deserve that! Crowfeather shook his head.
“Harestar, I need to go and help. This isn’t all about my mate and son. It is about all the missing cats. One cat, two cats, five, that doesn’t matter. They are all WindClan cats and I would be honored to help them.” Harestar didn’t reply for a second.
“Those are wise words, Crowfeather. I will grant your wishes.” He meowed carefully. “Leaftail, I expect you’ll be off soon.” The deputy nodded.
“Of course.” The tom dipped his head to his leader before assembling his patrol. Once all the cats were ready he signaled the cats to follow him, briskly exiting the camp. Crowfeather streamed after him, his paws beating against the loose ground, spraying dust with each paw step. Without warning, Fernpaw streaked past him, the she-cat planting herself in front of Leaftail.
“Fernpaw? What are you doing? “ Leaftail signaled the cats to stop. “We have to keep going!” Fernpaw shook her head.
“I smelled something that was similar to our Clan…I think they are over by the Twolegplace…” Leaftrail snorted.
“The Twolegplace by the Horseplace? Impossible! Are you saying that our cats went to become kittypets?” The deputy growled. “WindClan is loyal!”
“I’m not saying that, Leaftail.” Crowfeather could hardly hear his apprentice over his own rage. Breezepelt and Nightcloud? Kittypets? That makes no sense! I’d never be mates with a-Oh right…Leafpool…
“What do you think Crowfeather? You’re the oldest warrior here? Do we go to the Twolegplace?” A mew brought him back to reality. Crowfeather looked down just in time to see Breezepelt moving toward him, his ears pricked curiously.
    “Breezepelt…” He breathed nervously.
“Breezepelt? Do you have bees in your brain? I’m Brindlepaw.” Sure enough, the mottled brown form of Brindlepaw replaced Breezepelt. I’m starting to see them…this guilt is starting to get to me. Crowfeather bristled from his realization.
“Yes, we need to go and find them…” The sooner, the better.

“I’ll race you!” Brindlepaw purred pulling ahead of Fernpaw, their paws skidding across the rocky ground.
“Slow down you two! You are going to get yourselves hurt if you keep this up, and I’m not dragging either of you back to camp.” Crowfeather snapped, lashing his tail. Leaftail but his tail cautiously on Crowfeather’s shoulder as if he was worried Crowfeather would rip it off.
“Let them be; is it against the code for cats to have fun?” The tom twitched his whiskers.
“If they get themselves killed, you are in charge of bringing them back to camp.” Crowfeather snorted, somewhat shocked by the change in the tom’s behavior. “Now we better hurry up before one of those horse things tramples them to death.” Leaftail nodded before darting after the gray tom.
“Fernpaw! Wait up! It’s dangerous down there!” Crowfeather warned. Especially if the missing cats were attacked by rogues. Without warning a yowl rang across the moor as a group of cats pounced onto the apprentices. Fueled by fresh rage Crowfeather slammed into the closest rogue, bowling the she-cat over. He raked his claws across her sides before forcing the she-cat running.
“Get out of here, rogue!” Crowfeather spat returning to the battle. Before he could land another swipe on a cat, Fernpaw called him over.
“Crowfeather! I found them!” She mewled, sending ripples of shock down his spine. Without thinking, Crowfeather rushed to her side, following the apprentice through the maze of thorns.
“Fernpaw!” The pained voice of Emberfoot, Fernpaw’s father, made Crowfeather run faster. His apprentice was right! The cats were here imprisoned by the rogues! Within moments the dark gray tom had pushed past the final bush, his paws skidding across the WindClan cats’ rocky prison floor. The cats immediately shifted their gaze over to him, a couple of them flickering with distrust. Some of them still don’t think I’m loyal…they still see me gaze across the border…what would they say if they knew I still dream of Leafpool and that I see Hollyleaf everytime I feel I can’t go on…If only I had been a good father to start…that moon has pasted though…the only thing that matters is what I do now.
“Nightcloud! Breezepelt! Are you in here?!” Crowfeather began to search around for his mate and son. The WindClan cats all turned their heads to face behind them.
“Crowfeather…Nightcloud…she ventured outside of here a while ago…she hasn’t come back…” Emberfoot meowed slowly. Crowfeather’s eyes widened fearfully.
“Breezepelt? Is he here?” Crowfeather bristled. If only I had stepped in sooner! Heathertail and Smokepaw shook their heads.
“Breezepelt was badly injured when we were brought here. You’ve tried to help him but without immediate treatment I’m not sure he’ll survive.” Heathertail averted her gaze.
“Then move out of the way! We need to get out of her right now! We have to save him!” Crowfeather ordered, pushing past Heathertail.
“You want to save Breezepelt?” Heathertail cocked her head. “Really?” Crowfeather stiffened upon seeing the slumped figure of his son.
“Yes really! Now Emberfoot, Heathertail, and Smokepaw! Help me lift him up! We can get him to safety!” Heathertail’s eyes widened but she didn’t say anything. Instead she signaled Emberfoot over and carefully lifted her mate onto Crowfeather’s back with the help of Emberfoot.
“Are you sure this is going to work?” Emberfoot asked with a flick of his tail. Crowfeather nodded.
“It better! Now Heathertail and Emberfoot, stay close. If any rogues come it is up to you two. Fernpaw and I will lead the rest of the cats back to camp. Any questions?” They shook their heads. “Then let’s go!” Crowfeather, flanked closely by Emberfoot, Fernpaw, and Heathertail, crashed through the thorn bushes. Growling flooded Crowfeather’s ears but he ignored it, his mind only focused on saving the son he never felt he could. Without warning Heathertail charged in front of them, her claws digging into a rogue lying ahead of them. Come on Crowfeather! Camp isn’t much further…With a final burst of speed, Crowfeather tore up a small hill that led to camp. But before he could take another step, a large rogue slammed into him, knocking Breezepelt off of him.
“Breezepelt!” Crowfeather yowled fearfully as the tom charged at him. Before the tom could reach him, Fernpaw shot past him, her claws digging into his fur. She saved my life…Crowfeather’s eyes widened before a screech from the tom thrust him back into the present. Fernpaw is a powerful warrior…she and Emberfoot can handle this cat.
“Emberfoot, stay behind and help!” Crowfeather ordered before slipping his injured son onto his back again. Crowfeather charged across the moor as fast as he could, the familiarity of the ground allowing him to run after. Fast enough that within moments he was at the camp’s entrance.
“Kestrelflight! I carry an injured warrior-no-I carry my son!” Crowfeather yowled as he scrambled through the camp entrance. Kestrelflight was instantly by the gray tom’s side, helping the tom carry the injured warrior to the medicine den.
“Easy Crowfeather, he’s going to be alright.” Kestrelflight meowed as Crowfeather attempted to push his way into the den. “Don’t worry, I can take it from here.” Crowfeather opened his mouth to object but he knew Kestrelflight was right. He had done all he could and that was enough.

“Alright Crowfeather, you can come and see him.” Kestrelflight announced, signaling the dark gray tom over. Crowfeather stalked over to the medicine cat den, guilt gnawing at his stomach as he walked. Nightcloud hadn’t returned and Harestar had declared her dead about a moon ago, despite him not being close to her, he still felt the pain of her death. The pain of regret had blossomed deep inside of him and he knew there was no stopping it. I need to tell Breezepelt…I have to be the father I never was for him…Crowfeather felt his whiskers brushed against the walls of the den until the chamber opened up. Upon hearing his father padding near, Breezepelt raised his head distrustfully.
“What do you want?” Breezepelt spat, his pelt painfully bristling. Crowfeather forced his fur to lay flat.
“Breezepelt…I-I…I’m sorry to have to tell you this but Nightcloud is dead…she died trying to come back her but one of the rogues-”
“She’s dead? My mother is dead? I can’t believe it…” His amber eyes softened with grief for a second before slamming into hostility. “Why didn’t you leave me back there? Why didn’t you let my stay there in case she came back!” Crowfeather averted his son’s gaze.
“She isn’t coming back, Breezepelt. She hunts with StarClan now.” Crowfeather awkwardly rested his tail on Breezepelt’s shoulder. “I’m not going anywhere now. I’m willing to be the father I never let you have…I’m so sorry I ignored you…can you ever forgive me?” Crowfeather shivered as he awaited his son’s words. He knew Breezepelt had the right to refuse him, he could understand that, but deep within him he wanted the chance to be a real father.
“I forgive you I guess.” His eyes raked across Crowfeather’s face. “But you are going to have to prove yourself. Prove that I was wrong about you.” Crowfeather dipped his head.
“Thank you Breezepelt, you won’t regret it.”

“All cats gather here for a clan meeting!” Harestar yowled firmly above the gathering cats. From the other side of camp, Crowfeather managed to catch Breezepelt’s eye, who in return nodded his head respectfully. Part of the warrior wanted to sit beside Breezepelt and his mate, but he knew that that was not his place yet, and in an odd way, he was okay with that. Crowfeather instead curled his tail around his paws and gazed up at the line of apprentices that had gathered before Harestar. Among the apprentices sat Fernpaw, her torn ear that she had received from defending her clan was gleaming in the sunlight.
“Fernpaw, do you promise to uphold the Warrior Code, even at the cost of your own life?” Fernpaw nodded. “Then by the powers of StarClan I name you Fernheart, for your unmatchable courage.”
“Fernheart!” Crowfeather yowled above the rest of the cats, the pride for his apprentice growing with each yowl. Within moments Breezepelt’s daughters had received their names as well; Smokecloud and Brindlefeather. As the cats began to disperse, Breezepelt padded over to his father, his gaze welcoming.
“Greetings, Crowfeather.” He meowed sitting beside him. Crowfeather dipped his head.
“Hello Breezepelt. Why have you come over to me? You have a patrol soon-” Breezepelt shook his pelt.
“The patrol can wait. There’s something you need to know.” Breezepelt awkwardly licked his chest fur. “I requested Smokecloud and Brindlefeather’s names.” Crowfeather’s eyes widened.
    “You did?” Breezepelt nodded.
“That’s what I just said! The names are tributes to you and Nightcloud…it’s the least I can do to keep your memories alive after you die.” Crowfeather began to purr with amusement.
“I won’t be joining StarClan anytime soon, rabbit-brain!” Crowfeather snorted, cuffing Breezepelt’s ear.
“Unfortunately!” Breezepelt growled playfully. “Some of us would be pleased to see you go!” Crowfeather smiled. So this is what it is like to be a father…
“Breezepelt…I’m glad you’re my son.” He meowed suddenly, raising his muzzle to the stars.
“Yeah…I’m glad you’re my father I guess…though I wish Nightcloud was here to see us finally getting along.” Breezepelt’s eyes darkened.
“I’m sure she’s watching from up there…and I know she’s proud of us…” Crowfeather muttered, hoping it was true. Breezepelt nodded.
    “I’m sure she is.”

  • This is about SNOWTUFT and how he got into the dark forest. The theme fit with this idea so

Snowkit opened his eyes wide. He knew this was the first time he would ever open them, and this was very, very special. He looked around for his mother, but couldn’t see her. He finally found her in the corner of the nursery, grooming his siblings. He waddled towards her, confused on why he wasn’t with her. “Hi, Mama.” Snowkit mewed, but his spirits immediately fell when he saw the horrified look on his mother’s face.
“GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU MONSTER!” She shouted. “YOU ARE NOT MY SON!” Poor Snowkit was so hurt by his mother’s unkind words he ran out of the nursery, out of the camp. He found a little puddle of water and looked in. Inside was his reflection. It was a pure white Tom…. With a long, snakelike scar down his side. He gasped. And then he thought, so that’s why Mama doesn’t love me.

Snowkit never drank milk as a kit, as no Queen wanted him. He just stuffed full prey down his tiny throat. Here in RiverClan, it was hard to eat whole fish, but he managed it. He awaited his apprentice ceremony desperately. Finally, Ashstar called for a Clan meeting. Snowkit wondered who his mentor would be. Finally, after all his siblings, Ashstar said this.
“Snowkit, you will not have a mentor.” He gasped in horror, and she continued. “Nobody wants you, and you will still become a PAW, but never a warrior.” Snowpaw was so disgusted, he ran right out of camp. He went to ThunderClan. Nobody wanted him there. Over in WindClan, they HATED him. But in ShadowClan…. Things were different. The leader, Whisperstar appointed him a mentor, Lilyrose, and accepted him as a full member of ShadowClan. He still swore revenge on RiverClan, but waited patiently until he became a warrior.

“Snowpaw, you will be known as Snowtuft. StarClan honours your loyalty and fighting skill.” Snowtuft bowed down gratefully as he heard his Clan Chang his name. Now, it was time for revenge. That night, during his vigil, he snuck out to RiverClan camp. And saw a pure white pelt. He remembered who it was. Pebblesplash. In other words, his mother. His ungrateful, horrible mother, who was about to DIE. He snuck up on her, silently, and delivered a killing blow. She did not scream. Oh no. She was still fast asleep. Now forever. Snowtuft snuck back home, but on the way there, he caught his scar on a bramble, opening it back up again. He yowled in pain, but ran away before any cat woke up. Killing brings me satisfaction, Snowtuft thought. I should do it more often.

A couple moons later, 9 more RiverClan cats were dead. Including Ashstar. And all Snowtuft’s siblings. And his father. Snowtuft didn’t know what feeling anything other than rage and insanity felt like now, because he felt nothing but that. Must. Kill. RiverClan. Was the only thing Snowtuft ever thought. This useless clan deserved to die. He snuck off for the last time to the RiverClan camp, preparing to kill the elders. But little did he know that the new leader, Daisystar, was guarding them, and when he was about to sneak in, he felt a swelling in his neck, and all went dark. He woke up in a shadow forest, and realized immediatly. This is the dark forest. He thought. I never trained here, but I belong here. But I will still kill RiverClan. Not only them, but ALL THE CLANS.

  • This is about the Tribe of Rushing Water and Half Moon. 😀

Oh, hello, little kits. I’m Silver Berry. Of course, I had a second name… Ah, why is my name different from yours? That’s a good question, Red Leaves Falling off Bush. I don’t know. The Tribe’s names just changed after we left the lake. Yes, that’s right, I was a member of the Tribe before we came to the mountains. Ah, very good, Avalanche Tumbling Down Mountain. I am a member of the Tribe of Endless Hunting. You three are very smart kits. Oh, thank you, Little Rabbit Caught in Eagle’s Claw. I like to think I’m wise. Would it surprise you to know I used to be a silly little cat that always got into trouble? Oh yes, it’s true! I was a new-made prey-hunter. I thought I was so brave, but my friend said I just didn’t think before I acted. He was right, of course. Whispering Lake was always right. Oh, you want to hear my story, little kits? Well, I can’t tell you the whole thing. It’s very long. But I’ll tell you some of it. But after that the three of you better wake up…

I ran through the forest, my eyes cold. Whispering Lake had just disappeared. It was my fault, too. If I’d told Stoneteller about Sundae and her friends earlier, so many more cats would still be here. And so many wouldn’t be gone…
I shook myself out of my thoughts. It wasn’t too late. I could confront Sundae now. After that I’d tell Stoneteller. I know I’d promised to keep it a secret, but I draw the line when my best friend is taken…

Many moons ago, when I was only a to-be, I met Sundae. She was so kind, and sweet and charming, I befriended her. She blinded me, made me oblivious to what she was doing. How she was using me. After I was made a full-fledged prey-hunter, something strange began to happen. Cats began to disappear. Leaving without a trace. No one knew what was going on. But one day, I was walking. I heard a loud yowl quickly cut short. I raced toward it but nothing was there. Only the strong scent of Dashing Hare, another prey-hunter, and the faint scent of…
    Sundae.
She must be the one taking the cats.
So many emotions shot through my body at once. Shock, anger, confusion… And sadness. Sundae was my friend. We were so close. I told her everything, even things I didn’t tell Whispering Lake. Other cats arrived. They smelled Dashing Hare too. Long Cloud, Dashing hare’s sister, wailed. They knew he’d been taken. There was nothing they could do.
    But I could do something.
That night I went toward me and Sundae’s usual meeting spot. I waited and waited. Finally, she arrived.
“Sorry I’m late,” she had mewed. “I had something going on.” She must have noticed my expression. “What’s wrong?” She meowed.
“Why are you doing it?” I mewed.
Sundae looked at me confused but I thought I saw a glimmer of fear in her eyes.
    “What are you talking about?”
“Why are you doing it? Why are you taking the cats?”
Her eyes widened. “Oh, that! It’s horrible, Silver Berry! They are making me! They’ll hurt me if I don’t!”
I hissed. I could see right through the guise. “I trusted you!”
Sundae nodded. “Yes. I know! I’m so sorry! I never wanted them to make me use you!”
Then it was my turn to be afraid. “What do you mean? You haven’t been… …Using me.”
Sundae smiled lightly with sadness in her eyes. “Yes, I have. It’s a great plan, even though I disapprove of it. You’ve told me all about you Tribe! When the patrols set out, who will be with them, and, most importantly…”
“…when people will be alone,” I realized. I’d helped them take the cats. I’d given them everything they needed. Info and opportunity.
“Please, Silver Berry! I don’t want to get in trouble. Please don’t tell your Tribe about me!”
“Ok,” I mewed. She was my friend, after all. “I promise…”

I sat at where our meeting spot was, slashing at the air with my claws. Finally Sundae stepped out into the light.
“Hello, Silver Berry,” she said with a wicked grin. “Missing anyone?”
I spun to face her, spit flying from my mouth. “You! They never forced you, it was always you!”
Sundae laughed and nodded. “Of course. I’m surprised it took you so long to find out.”
I hissed. “Whispering Lake is gone! What did you do with him?”
Sundae lowered her head. “I can’t tell you that, dear friend. He’s gone. Too bad, though. You two would have made a cute couple.”
I yowled. “You have ruined my life!”
Sundae nodded. “Yes. Yes I have. Now I have a message for your little Stoneteller. Leave the lake with your Tribe. This is our home now. Not. Yours. And if you don’t leave, we will pick you off, one by one and finish you off.”
I took a step back. “Fine. I want to get as far away from you as I can get.”
    I started to leave.
“Oh, and Silver, dear?” I turned to face her. “If it makes you feel any better, Whispering Lake isn’t suffering. We put him out of his misery.”
I screeched, bolting for somewhere, anywhere. Sundae’s loud laughter echoed in my head. I tore through the forest, my heart pounding. Whispering Lake was dead. Sundae betrayed me.
I’m not joking when I say I ran right into Stoneteller.
“Silver Berry!” he mewed, his eyes open in shock. “What is it?”
“We have to leave the lake. We have to leave now.” And I told him everything.

We were leaving. Walking away from the lake. Stoneteller said we might head for the mountains. All I knew was that it was my fault. I glanced back to see many cats milling around the edge of the trees. When I felt Sundae’s amber gaze burning into my pelt, I turned away.
We’d start anew. We’d begin a new life. And now that I’d learned my lesson, I would always put my Tribe before anyone or anything. And now that half my life was dead, I would be called Half Moon.

Red Leaves Falling off Bush, Avalanche Tumbling Down Mountain, and Little Rabbit in Eagle’s Claw all woke up slowly, finding themselves once again sitting in their nest. The brothers and sister all sat very quietly, thinking about Silver Berry’s story. Or Half Moon’s story. They didn’t know what to call her.
Their mother, White Flowers on Tree, stirred beside them. “Ahh, hello my babies.” She smiled down at them, but it quickly changed to a frown. “Why are you all so quiet?”
The kits thought about how much the Ancient Cat had shared with them. “We made a new friend,” they whispered. “Silver Berry.”
And though their mother looked at them like they were crazy, they suddenly smelled Silver Berry’s scent all around them, and could almost feel her smile. And they knew that the Tribe of Endless Hunting was watching them and taking care of them. Especially their new friend.

  • This is going to be crazy long, so grab a bag of popcorn and have a seat. 😛 This is a BlogClan fanfic called The Flow of Time.

    Prologue
I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling of leaves sheltering the apprentices of BlogClan. The sun’s light filtered through the leaves, casting a bright light throughout the den. I pushed off of my moss nest, sitting up and looking around blearily. Majority of the apprentices were already gone from their nest, their scents stale. I shook out my fur, and padded out, pushing some branches out of my way.
“Good morning,” I yawned to no one in particular.
“Oh, Flowerpaw! You’re awake!” Owlwater called, and I glanced up to see the grinning tom sitting by the fresh kill pile. I went over and grabbed a shrew, eating while listening to my mentor reciting today’s schedule. I swept my tongue over my jaws after finishing. “First, we have a hunting patrol with Stoatpaw and her mentor!” He beckoned over to Wavesplash and the fellow apprentice. We padded over to them, and mrrowed a hello to both cats. We exited camp, setting out to our clan hunting grounds.
“Okay, let’s split up. Let’s meet here again when the sun strikes that tree.” Wavesplash pointed to a tall birch tree with her tail. There was still plenty of time before they met. We all nodded in agreement and set out in four different directions.

I tasted the air, lightly stepping over debris that could alert prey. I scented a thrush. Catching that could be tricky.. I thought. I scanned trees around me, and finally spotted the feathery creature perched atop of an oak tree. I fixed my eyes on the target. I unsheathed my claws, digging them in the bark, slowly reaching up. I approached, and swerved to a nice and thick branch. I wiggled my haunches before leaping onto the thrush’s branch. I snagged it onto my claw before it could fly away. Not the neatest tactic, but it worked. I nipped its neck and swiftly killed it. I peered down to the next sturdy branch, clutching the thrush in my mouth. I shuffled my paws and leaped on down. I continued this process before spotting two unfamiliar cats. At first glance, they just seemed like intruders. Curiosity beat me, and I froze and watched. They were both jet black; separate litter siblings, perhaps? However, something seemed wrong. The older tom was acting weird, with shadows in his eyes. I quickly set my prey down, and unsheathed my claws in case I needed to make a move. The older cat looked dangerous, while the younger tom cowered away. I pricked my ears, trying to listen.
“-oin me. We must fulfill its wish together.”
“But what you’re doing is wron-”
The eldest raised an unsheathed paw.
I instantly leaped forwards, landing on the dangerous tom and quickly knocking them out cold. Something like black mist appeared, but quickly was concealed, and I ignored it.
“Are you okay?” I glanced up at the young cat, who had widened blue eyes.
“Um, yes, thanks to you.” The tom answered, bewildered.
“Well, you’re trespassing on BlogClan territory.” I informed him coolly. His eyes widened even further. “I’ll let you off the hook, but please try to leave before someone else finds you and is less forgiving.” I left before he could say anything, and picked up my thrush. I watched as he left, dragging the body of the other tom with him. A moment later, I let out a sigh.
Oh my StarClan did I do the right thing?! What am I going to tell Owlwater…
I looked up and realized that the sun was already aligned with the tree.
Oh no! I’m going to be late!
I instantly sprinted the other direction, following my scent trail back to the meeting area.
“Sorry I’m late!” I panted, screeching to a halt next to the three cats, with ruffled fur.
“Flowerpaw! What took you so long? You only have a thrush?” Owlwater meowed, disappointment sharpening his words. My pelt burned in shame, realizing that the rest of the patrol had more and bigger pieces of prey. Stoatpaw was proudly holding a rabbit and squirrel.
“I saw two rogues and drove them out.” I tried. It was true, I just wasn’t saying the whole truth.
    “Rogues?” Wavesplash grew alert.
“Don’t, worry, I made sure they left.” I answered. The fur on the warrior’s pelt flattened in relief.
“I’ll just report to Cakestar about the sighting, and I’m sure Jayfrost will assign a border patrol.” Owlwater meowed, beckoning the patrol to follow him back into camp.
    ———-

“Where is Lily That Shines at Dawn?”
I rolled over, listening. My gaze swept the apprentices’ den for Lily. Shiveringrose entered the den, her blue eyes scanning the area.
“Oh hey,” I mumbled sitting up, my fur a mess from napping.
“Have you seen Lily?” She meowed.
“Well I was sleeping so uh nope.” I responded sheepishly.
“I’m sure you’re needed somewhere, so get up!” Shiveringrose tapped my head goodnaturedly, and tasted the air for a possible scent trail of Lily. I obeyed, flattening my ruffled fur and heading out. I stood there, breathing in the beautiful scents of Greenleaf. I washed myself, sitting on a smooth, warm rock.
“She’s nowhere, yet no one saw her leave..she wouldn’t just disappear..” I pricked my ears at Flowerstream’s murmur. I knew something was wrong; my fur prickled in unease.
“Flo, I found a scent trail.” Silence followed, then a rustle of leaves. I tried, but I couldn’t hear them clearly. A moment later, they spoke again.
“But it just stops here. In the middle of nowhere. Something must’ve happened. There’s no other choice but to say…
    ..she’s been catnapped.”

“All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath high rock for a clan meeting!” Cakestar’s yowl rang through the camp. Cats slowly appeared, padding out of their respective dens. I slipped through the crowd and settled down in the front so I could hear clearly, next to Frostpaw.
“Something dreadful has happened.” The leader announced grimly. “Lily that Shines like Dawn is confirmed to have vanished earlier today.” Shocked murmurs spread through the clan. Fear scent covered the clearing. “We will do our best to find her.” She glanced at BlogTeam. “But for now, be wary. No one is safe.”
    ———-

Several days later, I was guarding the camp as a patrol consisting of Stoatpaw, Russetfeather, and Flamepaw. Jayfrost had leveled up the guard on camp. All the light in our eyes were gone, our paws and tails dragging on the ground. My once white fur was now matted and dirty. Ever since Wafflepaw, Robinpaw, Lionpaw, and even Iceflower disappeared, joining Lily, BlogClan was weary and scared.
“Time for the next shift.” Russetfeather announced, heading to the warrior’s den. “Wake up Rosepaw and Blazepaw.” We nodded, quickly waking them up.
“I’m going to the dirtplace for a sec,” I told Stoatpaw before padding away. I quickly did my business before I felt something covering my head. The last thing I saw was Russetfeather emerging from the den with Sundance and Willowlight.
I let out a muffled scream before I spiraled into darkness.

    ———-

I opened my eyes, yet I only see darkness. I sat up but I cried out and collapsed, my head pounding. My eyes adjusted, and I could see bodies littering the floor. I whimpered, my beating fast, gulping. I reach out a trembling paw, breathing heavily as I flip a body.
    I screamed.
There lay Robinpaw, her face twisted in an agonized scream before she joined StarClan. I sobbed, the world spinning in my vision.
“F…Flowerpaw?” I could barely hear the voice, yet I jerked up. I leaped towards the voice.
“Iceflower!” I buried my muzzle in her cold fur, and flinched. I could barely recognize her. Her fur clung to her bones, she was thin and could hardly walk.
“No. Why are you here?!” Iceflower shrieked. “You’re going to die… Just like everyone else…” I trembled, my eyes wide.
“Tsk tsk. You’re speaking too much, that’s not allowed.” A sharp voice spoke, and I froze. I turned and recognized the black tom.
“You. You!” I snarled. “I leaped at him, claws outstretched.
“My, you’re so eager.” He swerved around, gripping my arm and twisted me away. I shrieked in pain.
“What are you doing to us?!” I gritted my teeth against the darkness crowding my vision.
“Oh I’m not gonna bother. You wouldn’t understand.” He drawled. He stared at me for a moment. “But why not? You won’t escape anyways. I’ve invested this power from my brother. I am getting rid of the weak. Survival of the fittest. This is how the world should be like.” He smirked down at me. I dug my claws not the dirt before letting out a gasp, falling unconscious once again.

    ———-

    “Wake up.”
Huh? Am I dead? Strangely, I felt no pain. I looked up and flinched.
    “Who are you?”
“I am the White Tiger Goddess. I cannot waste time. There may be only one way to save your clanmates..” My memories came rushing back, and I bristled. “Come.” I followed the white creature, right at their heels as we sprinted towards a rocky terrain. We were at mothermouth, but they swerved to another cave. A piercing glow hit my eyes and I yelped. “This is moon tree, that blooms fruit every thousand moons.” The goddess explained. “It bestows the power….. To travel through time.” I widened my eyes, suddenly understanding. All this time, the answer was clear from moons ago. My eyes caught on one last fruit before the tree shriveled into sleep. I hesitated, but reached up and separated it from the tree with a claw, glancing back and biting.

I shuffled my paws and leaped on down. Everything is happening in the same exact time. Now I should spot them… Over there. Sure enough, there they were. I narrowed my eyes. I focused on the older tom. The shadows I’ve seen on the tom was not a trick of the light, it was the strange power controlling him. I played along, copying what I had done before. I knocked the tom out, but instead, I twisted around and caught the dark mist in my claws and steadily ripped it apart. I ran my claws in the space were it was, making sure it was gone for good.
Now my clan will be safe.. I turned and stared piercingly at blue eyes from my multicolored, before vanishing into thin air.

  • so mine sucks compared to peto’s but i tried

Three warriors had died in two days.
First, Jaysong’s body was found on the shore of the lake, tainting the crystal-clear water with crimson. Then, Dawnspots’ body was found on the border between WindClan and ShadowClan. Lightkit was found next to her mother’s body. They were all killed different ways. Jaysong was killed by a deadly slash to the throat that only the most skilled warriors could be capable of. Dawnspots and Lightkit were found with dried foam at their mouths, and a single deathberry next to their limp bodies. Their frozen eyes were filled with the fear from their last moments.

I was starting to get paranoid. What sort of monster would kill a nursing mother and her sickly, last surviving kit? In the middle of leafbare, when greencough weakened even the strongest of warriors, grief could easily kill.

“Briarfoot!” Flamefur called. I turned around to face him.
“You’re leading the border patrol today. Keep an eye out for anything that seems suspicious. We have to stop this mass death.”
I nodded and padded to the front of the hollow, where the rest of the group lay in wait. Today, I was patrolling with Icefur, Smalltail, Heatherflight, and Flamefur.
We set off out of the hollow, wary of any unexpected sound. “I’ll go with Heatherflight to check the RiverClan border. Briarfoot, go with Icefur and Smalltail to the ShadowClan border.”
I shivered quietly, but swallowed my fear and led the remaining cats to the ShadowClan border. Icefur began marking the border as Smalltail and I kept careful watch for any sound. Icefur finished, and the borders were clearly marked. I let out a sigh of relief. Maybe I was just being overly paranoid.
Suddenly, a bush on the ShadowClan side rustled. I instinctively ducked and hid in a tall patch of heather. You coward.
A golden tabby tom with blue eyes stepped out. A scar ran from his nose to the top of his head. His pupils narrowed to slits. Without a word, he launched himself for Icefur.
Is he the one who slaughtered Jayspots and poisoned Dawnspots and Lightkit?
Icefur laid down to taunt him in, then kicked him hard. The muscled tom landed on his feet, sliding backwards and grimacing. Don’t let him take you.
The golden tabby rose up, ignoring his injury, and lunged for Icefur, slicing her throat open. She tried to croak out a painful meow, but not even a breath came out. She fell to the ground, her white fur stained with thick layers of blood, still flowing from her wound.
My heart began to race. Smalltail’s fear-scent was overwhelming. I jumped out of the heather, ready to face the murderous ShadowClan tom. But Smalltail’s scent had faded, replaced with the overpowering scent of death and blood. Next to me was Smalltail’s limp body, this time killed by a stroke from head to tail. I looked the tabby straight in the eyes. He lunged towards me and pinned me down.
“Don’t tell anyone what you just saw, or I’ll kill you, and everyone you love too. Got it?” he growled. I didn’t respond. He swiped my face angrily, and blood started trickling from the wounds. I grunted, “Yes.” He let me go and stalked back to the bush. I sat in the heather until the waves of pain and blood stopped, then went back to the RiverClan border to meet up with Flamefur.
Flamefur and Heathertail looked at me with wide eyes. “Where have you been? You’ve been gone for much too long!” Flamefur exclaimed.
    I mumbled, “Border skirmish.”
“Why aren’t Icefur and Smalltail with you?” Heatherflight asked.
I sighed, flashes of the fight reappearing in my mind. “I went to mark a different part of the border, and when I turned back…they were both dead.” I was lying through my teeth, and I knew it. Tonight, I’d find the tom again and get my revenge. He didn’t deserve to live a moment more than he had to.

Late that night, I quietly snuck out of camp and bravely padded up to the ShadowClan border. In front of me was the muscled tom. He looked ready for a fight.
“I knew you’d come back. The Dark Forest told me. They tell me lots of things. When to kill, when to spare.” He purred deeply, showing his sharp, blood-covered teeth. “They said I made a mistake. I should never spare.” He tilted his head sideways, as if listening to a warrior that wasn’t there. His eyes were wide. “Okay, Thistleclaw. I’ll kill her. I’ll prove them all wrong. I’m not some nameless, useless kit. I’m Goldenclaw, and my name will be remembered through the clans!”
Goldenclaw dived for me, but I dodged out of his way. With a cat this strong, defense is your offense. He can’t fight forever.
He snarled and clawed for my sides as I ran in circles around him. He got a few scratches in, but my speed was my best weapon, and he no longer held the element of surprise.
He was panting. I’ve got him now. I ran towards him and landed on top of him. He screamed out a scared confession. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I killed everyone! Please don’t kill me! I don’t want to die!”
I mercilessly raked my claws down his back, flipped him over and slit his throat. I watched him convulse in fear and anguish as his spirit joined the Dark Forest. He deserved it, every moment.

    “Have fun in hell.”

  • Love Brings The Light
    A Warriors Fanfic By Blueheart.

“Violetfern! Violetfern!” Violetfern lifted her chin in pride, her tortoiseshell coat gleaming in the sunlight. It was her warrior ceremony. She had been training for several moons for this day to come, and it had finally paid off.

Violetfern searched the crowd of ThunderClan cats. Her sister, Spottedlily, had gone missing only days before, and hadn’t returned. Violetfern felt a lump in her throat as she remembered her sister wouldn’t get to see her become a warrior.

Her father, Junipertail, had also disappeared half a moon ago, hadn’t been seen since.

She stood up and walked through the crowd, nodding to her mother and brother and she walked past them, recounting all the missing cats. Lionstride, Gorseface, Dawnwillow, Lilacpaw, Yewdrop, Sweetflower, Waterivy, and Poppytree. She thought with sadness.

She picked up a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and lay down to eat it. “Hey, Violetfern!” a voice called. She looked up to see an apprentice charging towards her.

“What is it Berrypaw?” Violetfern asked. Only yesterday they had been denmates. He was one of the older apprentices now and Violetfern expected it wouldn’t be long before he became a warrior.

“I know where they are.” He whispered, anguish in his eyes.

“Where who are?” Violetfern asked, fearing she already knew the answer.

“The missing cats.” Berrypaw mewed with a flick of his tail.

“We need to tell Parsleystar!” Violetfern meowed standing up, abandoning her fresh-kill. She started to dash forward, but Berrypaw knocked her down.
“Hey!” Violetfern yowled. “What in StarClan do you think you’re doing?”

“Shhh!” Berrypaw hissed. “Don’t want to get the entire clan in this! Follow me, pretend you are taking me hunting, if anyone asks.” He mewed in a rush as he hopped off of Violetfern. This apprentice has issues.

They padded through the thorn tunnel into the forest. Berrypaw jumped onto a fallen tree and stared down at her, his gray and white tabby pelt fluffing up in the breeze. “They are in the Dark Forest!” Berrypaw mewed quietly.

Violetfern recoiled. What? “How do you know?” She asked suspiciously.

Berrypaw looked down and scuffed his paw on the bark guiltily. “I may or may not have been visiting it in my dreams.” He mewed shamefully.

Violetfern cocked her head at him curiously. “But how are they there? Did they fall asleep somewhere and can’t wake up?” She mewed sarcastically.

Berrypaw wailed silently. “Yes!” He eventually yowled. “The medicine cat apprentice, my sister, Lilacpaw, she has them hidden somewhere.” The apprentice looked as if he would break down into madness at any moment.

“But how are they staying asleep?” Violetfern was still very confused.

“Everytime they wake up she gives them doses of poppyseed.” He mewed as he slumped down.

“Do you know where she is?” Violetfern asked, stepping forward and nudging the apprentice with her paw.

“Near the Moonpool.” Berrypaw murmured softly.

“Then we have plenty of time.” Violetfern mewed enthusiastically.

“You want to go there?” Berrypaw breathed. “But you don’t know what is going to happen.”

“Well that’s the fun part isn’t it?” She started walking and flicked her tail. “Come on, we haven’t all day.”

She heard Berrypaw trying to regain his balance on the fallen tree to follow her. Eventually she heard him pelting towards her, to then fall side by side with her.

They began running through the trees, almost as fast as WindClan. When they reached the borderline with WindClan they stopped to take a breath. They drank some water out of the cool stream. Then they turned dutifully and started up the trail to the Moonpool.

Soon Violetfern’s paws started bleed from the bumpy landscape, and her stomach started to yowl.

“On it. Try to find some dock.” Berrypaw meowed in a rush as they came across some trees. He darted off, tail up in delight.

Violetfern tried to remember what dock looked like. She failed. She eventually found some sort of herb and brought it back to where Berrypaw was waiting.

“Great! You found some! I was worried you wouldn’t.” He meowed joyfully.

Violetfern let out a sigh of relief. Then she settled down and rubbed the soothing dock on her paws. She then gave the rest to Berrypaw.

She picked out one of the mice he caught and ate it quickly. Soon after Berrypaw had used the dock and eaten, they were walking again.

Soon she saw the sparkling water of the Moonpool.

At the sight of it, they turned away from it, and sniffed around, trying to scent the missing cats.

Soon Violetfern scented a trace of Thunderclan scent. “Berrypaw, come on! Follow me!” She yowled as she raced ahead to follow the scent, she heard Berrypaw keeping pace with her.

Soon the trees thinned out to a small clearing. Over to the side was a small fresh-kill pile, it had a few mice and a squirrel or two. On the other side of the clearing was a den. The den was small, probably big enough to fit two warriors.

“Look.” Berrypaw breathed. Violetfern shook her gaze away from the den to see a large clump of brambles, all intertwined, creating a den. Thorns were dotted all around it, making it the most ferocious den Violetfern had ever seen.

She stalked carefully up to it, she stopped when she heard a soft voice. “Here, eat these.” The voice was gentle and sweet, but also had a tint of bitter.

“I don’t want to, I don’t want to go back.” A sad and aching voice mewed. It was tired and full of anguish.

“You must.” The sweet voice whispered back. “You don’t want to let them down, do you?”

“I – I must fight.” The cat whispered back.

“You are so brave, I know you can do this.” Violetfern heard a relieved sigh as the sweet but bitter voice faded away.

Violetfern heard pawsteps, soon they grew louder, in a rush of panic Violetfern turned tail and pelted back to Berrypaw. “I have a plan.”

Violetfern waited in the cool night air. All the cats were asleep in their dens. It was now her turn. Berrypaw was sitting beside her. “Are you sure you want to do this?” He whispered fearfully.

“I have too. My father and sister are in there.” Violetfern mewed certainly. She lay down and closed her eyes. Praying she would end up in the Dark Forest.

She opened her eyes. Dark trees loomed above her, casting a shadow over the forest floor. Her heart raced in readiness.

She started pelting through the forest searching for any signs of cats. She came to a sudden stop. She heard yowls coming from a distance. She turned and raced towards them.

She stopped when she saw an open clearing, cats were battle training. She took note of who she saw. Lionstride, Gorseface, Dawnwillow, Spottedlily, Yewdrop, Sweetflower, Waterivy, and Junipertail! They are all here! But where is Lilacpaw?

She saw a giant rock formation at the other side of the clearing. Violetfern took a deep breath and looked at the fighting cats. They all looked tired and almost defeated, except for the Dark Forest mentors.

Shakily Violetfern conjured all her courage, closed her eyes, flickered them open again, and pelted towards the rock formation. Nobody noticed her.

When she reached the rocks she took a giant leap and landed on it.

She let out a yowl of fury and all the cats stopped fighting and looked up at her.
“Cats of Thunderclan! Wake up! An apprentice, Berrypaw is ready to take you home! But you have to fight this! Wake up!” She yowled, letting anguish fill her voice as she spotted her sister and father.

    “Violetpaw?” Spottedlily mewed tentatively.

“I’m Violetfern now.” She mewed proudly to her sister.

“Violetfern!” It was her father, Junipertail, shouting out.

She flicked her tail letting him know she heard. “Everyone wake up now! Hurry!” She yowled.

Everyone cast worried glances at each other, and soon, they started to fade. They’re waking up! She thought happily.

Soon every living cat had waken up. Then she heard a yowl of pure terror.

She looked to see Lilacpaw, the beautiful white tabby she-cat was pinned down by a furious looking Dark Forest warrior.

All the other Dark Forest warriors were looking around, pure shock on their faces, then, strangely, they turned and padded off.

Lilacpaw was wailing under the grip of the Dark Forest cat. “Please stop, Dandelionfuzz!”

That just goes to prove that not all bad cats have scary names.

Violetfern just looked down at the struggling she-cat. She doesn’t deserve to come back to her clan. She betrayed us. Violetfern pointedly turned her tail.

She closed her eyes, imagining Berrypaw when he heard that she had abandoned his sister. Violetfern felt her chest tighten. No, I can’t do that to him. I must be brave… for him. She realized that she always adored Berrypaw, and wanted to do right by him.

Violetfern turned back towards Lilacpaw and Dandelionfuzz. With a furious hiss and yowl she launched herself at them, landing squarely on Dandelionfuzz’s shoulders.

He yowled in surprise and Violetfern bit deep into his shoulders. He yowled in pain.

Dandelionfuzz then rolled over until he was on top of Violetfern, he then began clawing at her belly. She yowled in pain and landed a blow to his muzzle, knocking him off.

Quickly, she got up and started clawing his flank. Over her shoulder she yowled. “Lilacpaw! Wake up!” She got a murmur of reply and figured she was fading away.

Violetfern turned back to Dandelionfuzz. He lunged and grasped her leg in his jaw. Violetfern gasped in a pain and surprise. In revenge, she grabbed his. He let go of her leg to let out a yowl of pain.

She used that moment to her advantage. She leaped high in the air and let herself fall onto him, driving the breath from his body.

He groaned. Violetfern yowled in triumph. Then she closed her eyes.

When she opened them back up, all the ThunderClan cats were standing around her. Berrypaw meowed joyfully. “You’re awake!”

Violetpaw purred with love and amusement. I saved your sister, but I was going to abandon her. I’m sorry, but I know you will forgive me. She thought sadly.

But there was time for that later. Violetfern stood up and gazed at the ThunderClan cats. “Let’s go home.”

“Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highledge for a Clan meeting!” Parsleystar yowled, bounding down the tumble of rocks. She came to a halt in front of Berrypaw, whose eyes were shining.

She looked down at him. “I, Parsleystar, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn.” She took a breath. “Berrypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?”

“I do.” Berrypaw breathed, and his whole body trembled.

“Then by the powers of StarClan,” Parsleystar continued, “I give you your warrior name. Berrypaw, from this moment you will be known as Berryflight. StarClan honors your loyalty and sense of adventure, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan.”

She stepped forward and placed her muzzle on his head, Berryflight respectfully licked her shoulder.

“Berryflight! Berryflight!” Violetfern was the first to call out his new name. She gazed proudly at the cat she now loved. She purred happily as he gazed up at the sky.

“Berryflight, you may come in now.” Lilacfeather purred. She had recently become Medicine Cat, soon after redeeming herself.

Quietly, Berryflight padded into the nursery. He lay down quietly beside his mate. “What shall we name them?” He whispered quietly.

Violetfern gazed lovingly at her new kits. One was a pretty tortoiseshell she-cat, an exact replica of her mother. The others, were gray and white tabbies, like their father, although the tom had one black paw.

Violetfern pointed to the tortoiseshell with her tail. “How about Sorrelkit?” She mewed.

“Perfect.” Berryflight purred. He then pointed to the other she-cat, one of the gray and white tabbies. “Cloudkit?” He suggested.

Violetfern turned to her mate and nodded. Then they looked at the final kit, the tom, the one with the black paw. “Dandelionkit?” Violetfern suggested.

Berryflight held his breath. “Are you sure?” He mewed worriedly.

“Yes.” Violetfern mewed sensibly. “It will remind us that even in the darkest situations, love brings the light.” She purred as Berryflight nuzzled her lovingly.

Natestripe padded along the edge of MusicClan territory. I hope that dog doesn’t come back! It was small, but it still caused a lot of trouble.
“Natestripe,” he heard Tobystar’s voice. “Anything to report?”
    “No.” Natestripe meowed.
“Good,” Tobystar nodded. “We don’t need any more trouble than we already have.” Natestripe shuddered at his words.

“Tobystar! Natestripe!” Mattfluff came running toward them when they entered camp. “Crowderpelt and Augustblaze are missing!”
“What do you mean?” Tobystar asked.
“We should be able to find their scent.” Natestripe meowed.

“There’s fur stuck to these brambles behind the leader’s den.” Mattfluff observed.
“Our camp is right in the middle of a forest.” Tobystar meowed.
“They must’ve hid behind the leader’s den and gone into the forest when no one was paying attention.” Natestripe meowed.
Hollysong bounced over. “What are you talking about?”
“I need to make an announcement.” Tobystar meowed.

“Cats of MusicClan!” Tobystar yowled. When all the cats had gathered, he went on. “Crowderpelt and Augustblaze have gone missing-without mine or Natestripe’s permission. Hollysong, Gracebreeze, Cooperclaw, and Mattfluff, I’m sending you out to look for them.”
“Can I go too?” Truheart asked. Hollysong purred. “I want to help.”
“Alright. Truheart will go with you.” Tobystar glanced at the cats he had chosen.
Mattfluff dipped his head. “We won’t come back until we find Crowderpelt and Augustblaze.”

    ***

Natestripe was sitting on the high-ledge when Westleap raced over to him. Natestripe flattened his ears.
“The cats aren’t back yet…” Westleap meowed.
    “And?” Natestripe licked his paw.
“More cats have gone missing…” Westleap went on.
“Are you talking about the cats Tobystar sent out to find Crowderpelt and Augustblaze?” Natestripe drove his paw across his forehead.
“No! Now Micahstreak, Dannysky, and Joelwhisker are missing!” Westleap meowed.
“What?” Natestripe froze. “I’ll tell Tobystar.”

“Cats of MusicClan! More cats have wandered off without permission! First of all, no one is allowed to wander off without permission! Campfrost and Unspokenfire, I’m sending you out to look for them. No one else!”

    ***

“Tobystar?” Natestripe padded into the leader’s den.
“Don’t tell me more cats are missing…” Tobystar flattened his ears and stared at Natestripe, wide-eyed.
“No. But the cats who are missing, along with the cats you sent to look for them haven’t come back yet. It’s already been two days since Campfrost and Unspokenfire left!”
“What do you think we should do?”
“I think we should send out another search party, but this time I’ll lead it.”
    “Very well.” Tobystar blinked.

Natestripe padded through camp. Brittblossom bounced toward him. “Where are you going?” She asked.
“I’m going to lead another search party out to find the missing cats.”
“Who are you taking with you?”
    “Anyone who wants to come.”
    “Then I’ll come!”
Ryanstep, Westleap, and Battistelliflight padded toward them.
“Do you want to join our search party?” Brittblossom immediately asked them.
“Search party? What about-?” Ryanstep began, but Natestripe cut him off.
“I’ve already asked Tobystar. Don’t worry.”
    “Then we’re in!” Westleap mrowed.
“Hold on!” Moriahspark bounded over. “I’m coming too! Joelwhisker is one of the missing cats!”
“Of course you can come.” Natestripe dipped his head.

    ***

Natestripe led his group to a clump of twoleg dens. A colorful she-cat was sitting outside.
“Maybe she knows something about the missing cats.” Westleap meowed.
“We should ask her.” Battistelliflight put in.
“Alright, We can talk to her.” Natestripe meowed.
The cats padded over to her. The she-cat looked at them quizzically. “Do you need something?” She asked.
“We wanted to know if you’ve seen any cats around here.” Natestripe meowed.
“You mean besides yourselves and I?” The she-cat mrowed.
“Um… Yes.” Natestripe stared at her.
“Well…” The she-cat began. “I haven’t seen any other cats, but Ebony told me she ran into a whole group of cats!”
“Who’s Ebony?” Westleap asked. “We’re actually part of our own group of cats!”
“Ebony is a friend of mine. My name’s Butterflyflower by the way! In fact, I’m part of a group of cats too! Some of them have gone missing recently though. I know twolegs took them, but I don’t know where! Ebony is helping me look for them. When she ran into the other cats, she wondered if any could be of my group, but they chased her out.”
“Ebony’s not a dog by any chance, is she?” Ryanstep asked.
“She is, actually! A miniature pinscher to be exact!” Butterflyflower purred.
“She came into our territory and caused a lot of trouble.” Natestripe meowed. “A day later, two cats went missing. Do you know anything about that?”
“Ebony said she saw two cats running toward her, but twolegs took them away.” Butterflyflower explained. “When she told me, we thought they could’ve been the same twolegs that took the cats I knew. We tried to follow them, but they got into a monster and drove away. We couldn’t catch up to them!”
“There has to be a way to find all the missing cats!” Natestripe yowled.
“I’ll get Ebony to help us look for them.” Butterflyflower meowed.

Natestripe looked up to see that the sun was already setting.
“The monster took them this way!” Butterflyflower meowed.
“Where did you stop chasing it?” Moriahspark asked.
    “Just up ahead.” Ebony answered.
    “Here!” Butterflyflower exclaimed.
Natestripe grasped for air, exhausted from the long walk. And there’s still a ways to go… Who knows how far away we are from the cats? He looked around to see that the other MusicClan cats who were with him were out of breath too.
“Should we rest for the night?” Ebony asked.
“That’s a good idea!” Butterflyflower meowed.

    ***
Natestripe yawned and stretched as the sun shone on his pelt, making it glimmer.
He nudged Ryanstep awake. Ryanstep swung his tail into Battistelliflight’s nose. Battistelliflight sneezed and stood up. Her sneeze woke up Butterflyflower, who bounced up, tripped over Natestripe’s tail, and face planted into Westleap, waking him up. Ebony shook her fur out as she scrabbled herself awake.
“Where are Brittblossom and Moriahspark?” Natestripe asked. As if his question was answered, the two she-cats padded over with squirrels in their jaws.

“Do you know how far away we are from where the twolegs took the cats?” Westleap asked.
“No,” Butterflyflower answered. “But I’m sure we’re not far now!” Just as she spoke, a monster zoomed past, clogging the air with smoke. The cats and the dog coughed until the air cleared up.
    “There it is!” Ebony exclaimed.
    “What is it?” Battistelliflight asked.
The place the twolegs took the cats!” Butterflyflower screeched. The animals raced over to the building.
“How do we get inside?” Westleap asked.
Butterflyflower ran around back. “There’s a pile of boxes here! And an open window right above next to them!”
    “Nice.” Natestripe meowed.
The cats jumped through the window, into the building.
    “What about Ebony?” Brittblossom asked.
“Wait here.” Butterflyflower mewed and jumped through the window to get back outside.
Ebony poked her head through the window. She started scrabbling down the wall, but slipped and hit the floor with a thump.
“Are you okay?” Butterflyflower asked, sliding back through.
“I’m fine!” Ebony wagged her tail.
The animals crept through the hallways of the building until they came to a room full of cats.
“Hollysong! Gracebreeze! Cooperclaw!” Natestripe recognized them immediately.
“Truheart’s on the other side!” Hollysong yowled.
“Dannysky, Micahstreak, and Crowderpelt are over there too!” Gracebreeze called.
“Unspokenfire, Campfrost, and Joelwhisker are on this side with us.” Cooperclaw meowed.
“Augustblaze is here next to some other cat!” Truheart called.
“That’s Flamepaw!” Butterflyflower meowed. “And next to him is Robinpaw!”
“There are more cats on this side.” Campfrost meowed.
“Dewpaw, Wafflepaw, and Mintpaw!” Butterflyflower meowed. “We need to free everyone! Before the twolegs come back!”
Ebony bit into the lock on Unspokenfire’s cage. Moriahspark slashed at the one on Joelwhisker’s cage. The locks shattered across the floor, freeing the cats. Slashing and biting, eventually, all the cats were free.
There were even more cats Natestripe didn’t recognize. Butterflyflower recognized them as Ebonypaw, Sky, Bluepaw, and Stoatpaw.
“All the BlogClan cats that went missing are here!” Butterflyflower meowed. “Cakestar will be pleased when we get back to camp!”
    “Wait!” Natestripe yowled. “Where’s Mattfluff!?”
“He was never in any of the cages.” Unspokenfire meowed.
“He must’ve escaped the twolegs!” Augustblaze meowed.
“I saw a white cat running through the forest before I got picked up and brought here.” Sky meowed.
“That must’ve been him!” Hollysong mewed.

    ***

Natestripe paws thudded against the ground as he raced through the forest with the other animals behind him.
“Where did you see him?” Natestripe asked Sky.
“He was somewhere around here.” Sky meowed.
“Mattfluff! Where are you!?” Westleap yowled.
“BlogClan camp is close by.” Stoatpaw meowed.
“Maybe a patrol went out sometime after us and ended up running into Mattfluff!” Bluepaw meowed.
“Let’s go then!” Butterflyflower mewed. They all raced into BlogClan’s territory.
“Butterfly, you’re back!” A ginger she-cat meowed. “And you found the missing Blogclanners!”
“Who are the other cats with you?” A silver she-cat with white paws asked.
“Why is there a dog with you?” Another cat asked.
“The other cats are part of another group. A Clan maybe? Like BlogClan?” Butterflyflower glanced at Natestripe.
“I’m the deputy of MusicClan.” Natestripe dipped his head. “We’re missing one of our warriors-a white cat.”
“Is his name Mattfluff?” The ginger she-cat asked.
    “Yes!” Westleap meowed.
“Follow us to our camp then. We can meet everyone on the way there.” The ginger she-cat meowed.

“Cakestar, we found more cats!” Sundance called. “Including the missing Blogclanners!”
A brown she-cat stepped forward. “I’m glad you’re all okay!”
“We’re looking for Mattfluff.” Natestripe meowed, dipping his head.
“Ah yes. He’s been wanting to go back to his Clan, but a badger had attacked him, so our medicine cats: Flowerstream and her apprentice Birchfoot were helping him recover. He should be okay now though.” Cakestar meowed.
“I can get him if you want.” A black she-cat with a white underbelly meowed.
    “Go ahead, Iceflower.” Cakestar nodded.
Iceflower padded into a den and came out later with Mattfluff and two other cats. Natestripe guessed the two cats were Flowerstream and Birchfoot.
One of them laid down a clump of herbs. “You might still need them.”
“We actually have a medicine cat.” Natestripe meowed.
“Are you sure you won’t need them for the way back to your camp?” Iceflower asked.
    “We’re fine.” Mattfluff assured her.
“Wait,” another cat meowed. “Why is there a dog here?”
“I asked the same thing, Lup!” Darkpaw meowed.
“Ebony helped us find all the missing cats.” Butterflyflower explained.
“Thank you,” Natestripe meowed to Butterflyflower and Ebony. “You, and any BlogClan cats are welcome to come to our camp any time.”
    “How about now?” Butterflyflower asked.
    “Of course!” Westleap mrowed.
“I’ll be back before sunset.” Butterflyflower promised.
“Good luck!” Wavesplash called after them.

“You’re back!” Tobystar mrowd. “Everyone is here again!”
    “We had help.” Natestripe meowed.
    “From who?” Tobystar asked.
    “Butterflyflower and Ebony!” Westleap mrowed.
“And some cats from another Clan.” Mattfluff added.
“Ebony went back to wherever she lives,” Westleap meowed. “But Butterfly is here!”
Butterflyflower raced over to meet Tobystar, but she tripped over a root, so instead of stopping in from of him and saying “hi”, she face planted into his chest.

    • oops, at the very end it’s front, not “from”. I don’t know why I didn’t realize that typo earlier 😛

    • Amazing. I loooooved it!!! I can’t believe you added BlogClan into it!!! Am I the Bluepaw in there??

    • How did I not realize at the end it says “mrowd” when it should say “mrowed”? 😛 Oh well… Neither of those are actual words XD I just thought it was a better way of saying meow a few times so that it’s not too repetitive, and to me “mrow” could be a different sound than “meow’ since cats can make a lot of vocal noises.
