My little thing is that sometimes Iโll try to write a fan fiction and somehow get exhausted just by typing like three words. Itโs so annoying and I can never get anything done with it.

I noticed a lot of people saying that 0.99999999 (repeating 9s forever) is not equal to 1.
However, let me prove to you that it is.
So one-third is undeniably 0.333333 (repeating forever)
And two-thirds is 0.666666 (repeating forever)
So three-thirds should be 0.999999 (repeating forever) right?
Well, in this case, yes, because forever is basically infinite.
However, if we were to treat infinity like an integer, this is what will happen.
So any given integer has an integer one value above (i.e., 2 > 1, 17 > 16, -12 > -13, etc)
and so, if you were to round three-thirds 0.999999, then you would want the next digit, which is not shown, to round if that digit is greater than or equal to 5.
And in this case, the next 9 would round up, which would make you carry the one.
And so, you would keep carrying the one all the way up until you got to the first digit, and the answer would be one.
This is also the reason that 2/3 is often shown as .666667 and not .666666
And alternatively .333333 + .666667 is = 1 since the roundings cancel each other out
