So, here goes, and apologies in advance if this is upsetting:

Fan fiction comments will not be moderated on BlogClan.

This means comments containing fan fiction will never make it out of moderation. They will languish there, unread and unmoderated, for eternity.

  • Here’s the first chapter of The Rise of Aeryn! I introduced some of your characters- Ace and Night (The demon in the last paragraph.) Just so you know, Night is on the bad side, since she made Ami vulnerable to the ambush, and Ace is on the good side (as requested). Anyways, hope you enjoy! If you want to be mentioned in the story, just fill out the form in the Fanfiction Organization that I posted.

Zephyr opened her eyes, and she yawned and stretched.
“Zephyr, get over here!” Her older sister yelled. Zephyr growled, getting out of her bed and changed into a casual baggy t-shirt and shorts. She walked out of her room, where her sister Ami stood, tapping her foot impatiently. Her wolf ears pricked as she saw her.
“Finally,” she grumbled. “You took forever.”
“Oh, really?” She glared at Ami challengingly. “Says the one who takes an hour everyday to get into a new outfit.”
“You sleep through that hour,” Ami replied. “And you never dress up nicely.”
“Whatever,” I muttered to myself. Ami rolled her eyes.
“Are you just going to stand there or will we go to school already?”
“Lead the way, ma’am,” Zephyr teased. Ami shot her a glare with her piercing purple eyes but walked out the door.

“Zephyr, how are you?” A voice asked above her. Zephyr looked up and couldn’t help but smile. Her friend, Drift, was circling above her with her large, white angel wings. She floated down, and her wings folded so Zephyr was able to walk next to her without getting a mouthful of feathers.
“I’m doing good,” She responded as we walked to school. “You?”
“Good as well.” Drift blew her hair out of her face, and she was silent for a few moments.
“What’ve you been up to, then?”
“Oh, nothing much,” Zephyr said. “I guess making my sister mad because I slept in.” Drift glanced over at me, stopped walking, and shook her head, eyes shining with amusement.
“You haven’t even brushed your hair.” Her eyes widened, and she felt embarrassment flood through her.
    “Whoops.”
“We won’t make it on time by just walking,” Drift muttered. “Zephyr, hold my hand.”
“Wha?-” Drift grasped her hand, and her wings expanded, the both of us flying to the school.
“W-Whoa!” She glanced down, her heart in her throat. They were very high up. Then Drift dived and dragged Zephyr with her, and she braced myself for impact, but Drift slowed down and they landed in front of the school, and walked inside just as the bell rang.
“And we’re on time.” Drift smiled and hurried towards her first class, leaving her standing there in shock.

“Heya, Zephyr! How’s it going?” Fiona appeared beside Zephyr, and she smiled.
“Good,” Zephyr responded. “How about you?”
“Eh, nothing interesting is happening so far,” Fiona said. Her silver eyes glowed faintly before becoming normal again. Or, at least, what they had been before. Suddenly, Fiona grinned.
“I learned a new spell! Look.” Fiona took out a wand and said a few words before the tip of the wand lit up in a silver glow, and then she aimed at a locker’s lock. The air smelled of ozone right before the locker’s lock exploded, bits of metal flying everywhere. A big chunk sailed towards her and she braced herself for impact, squeezing her eyes shut.

Lumia felt her senses tingle. An image formed in the golden fire of the torch in front of her. She leaned forward. Zephyr. Lumia narrowed her eyes as a girl with silver eyes and short brown hair pointed a wand at a locker’s lock. Lumia growled with frustration as the scene played out in front of her. A piece of steaming metal from the explosion the girl had caused sailed towards Zephyr, and Lumia was filled with alarm. She snapped her fingers, and the air around Zephyr thickened into a shield. Lumia leaned back in her throne and sighed with relief. She hadn’t broken her deal with Ami just yet.

Ace stared in shock. Their senses tingled, and they stared at the scene that had just enfolded in front of them. Fiona, a student, had used a spell, and metal had flown everywhere. Luckily, nobody had gotten punctured, or else they would’ve died. But the thing that shocked them the most was the fact that the air had thickened in front of Zephyr like a shield. Zephyr was just staring in astonishment at the piece of metal that had ricocheted off of the air-shield and stuck itself into one of the classroom doors.

“How did you do that?” Fiona asked quietly. She was dumbfounded and most of all, sorry. If that air-shield hadn’t appeared when it did, her best friend would’ve been dead.
“I-I don’t know!” Zephyr insisted. “I was too busy trying to brace myself for impact.” Fiona narrowed her eyes in disbelief but she was quiet. Ace began walking towards Zephyr.
“That is a very difficult spell by itself,” Ace said quietly. “But the fact that it happened here and now… too much of a coincidence.” Fiona shivered as Ace stared at her with their blue eyes. They were very intimidating when they wanted to be.
“Don’t look at me!” Fiona snapped. “I may be a mage, but I’m not that advanced yet.” Ace snorted.
“Sure. You almost killed your own friend, and someone here did this to protect her.” Fiona was surprised. Ace was usually not the one to pin the blame on someone.
“Could it be Zephyr accidentally used the spell as a self-defense mechanism?” Someone piped up. Ace heaved a sigh, their eyes flaring.
“I just said that it’s a very difficult spell to master. Zephyr couldn’t have done that on accident.” Fiona glanced around at the gathered crowd of students. Then she got an idea.
“Have you ever considered that someone made a deal with someone to protect Zephyr in exchange for something?”

        Drift stepped forward, confused.
“When has that happened?” Ace’s eyes lit up with recognition.
“I know this! I’ve read about it in a book. It’s happened before. People made a deal with Lumia, the queen of heaven, most of the time. In exchange, they offered their soul to her for when they died, because Lumia would have them forever serve her in exchange for someone’s safety. And she’d usually give them a ‘reminder.’ A silver mark.”

Zephyr’s eyes stretched wide. She backed away.
“No…” She murmured. “No… she couldn’t have…” She swallowed hard. Her sister had a mark like that. Why? Drift’s eyes filled with concern.
         “Zephyr? What’s wrong?”
“My sister, she…” Zephyr trailed off, and her eyes stung. No. No. Ace exchanged a glance with Drift, both shocked.
“She has a mark like that,” Ace finished, their eyes wide. “She must really love you, or something really bad was going to happen to you, so she decided to do this.” Zephyr couldn’t believe her ears. Why had her sister chosen to do that?

Ami lunged for the demon, snarling. The demon wasn’t like anything else she’d seen, but it was a demon. All evil worked for Aeryn. She choked back tears as she swiped her claws at the young demon’s face. The demon’s aqua eyes widened and she squirmed, struggling to free herself from Ami’s grip.
“L-Let me go!” The demon begged. Ami narrowed her eyes.
“Not unless you tell me Aeryn’s plans, and who you’re running from.”
“I don’t know Aeryn’s plans! A-And I’m running from him in the first place! Now please, let me go!” The demon struggled again, and Ami released her. The demon fell onto the ground, breathing heavily. Suddenly the demon smiled.
“What are you smiling about?” Ami demanded.
“Didn’t you ever learn never to trust a demon?” A swarm of monsters suddenly surged forward out of nowhere, all aiming for Ami. Well, Ami thought, That’s it. I’m screwed.

    Cliffhanger 😉

  • I’m going to make a fanfic where Bumblestripe still gets dumped by Dovewing, but after becomes mates with Ivypool! sO oRiGinAl 😏

    Chapter One~ The Heartbreak
    ________________________________________________________

Bumblestripe awaited Dovewing’s arrival at the Ancient Oak, a daffodil in his jaws. A few hours passed as he was asleep, when the bushes around the Oak started rustling. Bumblestripe jumped to his paws and padded eagerly to the rustling sound. He sat in front of the bushes, disappointed as Ivypool came through them. “What are you doing here this late?” she questioned him. “Same for you.” Bumblestripe responded blandly. Ivypool sighed. “Dovewing sent me to tell you something.” Bumblestripe sat up eagerly and pricked his ears up, blushing. Ivypool began, “She wanted me to tell you that-” she was cut off by Bumblestripe. “That she loves me?!” he yowled. “No you mouse brain!” Ivypool screeched. “She wanted me to tell you she’s not interested in you.” she finally finished as Bumblestripe’s jaw dropped, the daffodil falling from his jaws while his eyes filed with tears. “Wh-what…” he murmured.”Where did I go wrong?!!” he wailed, dashing back to camp. He dove into his nest, tears flowing out from his eyes. Eventually he went to sleep, and Ivypool returned too.
    _______________
TIME SKIP (I might have a lot of these) 3 moons later…..
    _______________

Bumblestripe silently chewed on his vole in a shaded area near the Highledge. Dovewing seemed more distant with the other cats, and was getting more heavy. And Ivypool continued to awake every morning with fresh scars on her body. He noticed Dovewing had been sneaking out of camp more often. ‘She’s probably sneaking out to see Tigerheart.’ he thought. Bumblestripe jumped up as Ivypool meowed in his ear. She had a sharp glisten in her eyes as she meowed to Bumblestripe, “Hey. Firestar wants you on patrol with us.” She padded over to the other members of the patrol, Brackenfur, Thornclaw, and Whitewing. Bumblestripe finished the last few gulps of his vole and dashed after the patrol. “So what are we doing?” he meowed curiously. “Border patrol.” Thornclaw replied dryly. “Where?” Bumlestripe mewed. “For StarClan’s sake, stop asking questions!” Thornclaw yowled. “We’re going to the ShadowClan border.” he hissed much more quietly. They reached the border and encountered a ShadowClan patrol. Brackenfur nodded to them, and they nodded back, and both continued on their way. The patrol marked the border and made their way back to camp. Ivypool and Brackenfur reported to Firestar, and Thornclaw padded over to Blossomfall, laying down next to her. Bumlestripe looked at them, and thought again about how Dovewing had rejected him. Ivypool glanced at Bumblestripe and saw the despair in his eyes. She leapt over to him and gently nudged him with her nose. “Get up.” she mewed sternly. Bumblestripe stood up warily. “Where are we going?” he mewed, clearly tired. Ivypool glanced at the camp entrance and nodded to him. She dashed off, Bumblestripe following. She stopped at the Ancient Oak, sitting down and shuffling her paws in the grassy splotch. Bumblestripe sat down across from her, tilting his head in confusion. Ivypool blushed slightly, and began to speak. “Bumblestripe, I have something to confess…” she mewed quietly, but just loud enough for Bumblestripe to hear. “What is it, Ivypool?” he mewed questioningly. “I-I like you… but you probably don’t like me, which is okay, so I’ll just go now…” Ivypool meowed, blushing furiously. Bumblestripe was surprised, his eyes widened and blushing. Ivypool glanced at him, a sad glint in her eyes. Bumblestripe murmured “I-I like you too Ivypool.” he had hoped this day would come ever since the first 2 moons after Dovewing’s rejection. Ivypool hopped up, staring at Bumblestripe. She padded over to him, and touched her nose to his. “Does this mean…” Ivypool started. Bumblestripe responded with a mere nod. They padded off, tails entwined, knowing this was a new beginning.

Dovestream’s Choice, A Warrior Cat’s story by Dovepaw

    Prologue;
Moonlight shimmered around a stone lit cave where three cats sat, their fur bristling in the midnight wind. One of the three, a small black and white tom, looked up through a hole in the top of the cave.  He murmured to himself, then looked at his comrades. “Is it time, Pebbleheart?” asked a beautiful ginger she-cat, looking directly into the eyes of the black and white cat. Pebbleheart gave a nod of acceptance, and said, “Yes, Diamondshine. Strikepaw!”
He meowed to the last cat left, a big white she-cat. At once, the three cats looked up and moonlight hit a huge stone that was engraved into the floor of the cave. The rocks seemed to glow around them and make their fur seem whitish silver. Then, it stopped, and a small gray and white kit opened its eyes. The stone had disappeared, and the kit lay in the place of the rock. Her eyes were a strikingly river-like blue, and her paws were small. At that moment, Pebbleheart leaned down over the kit and said, “What is your name, kit?” The little kit let out a sneeze, looking back up. “I’m Dovekit.” She squealed in a kit’s voice. “Who are you?” Diamondshine let out a purr. “We are cats from Starclan. Do you know what that is?” Every clan kit should know who Starclan is, thought Pebbleheart. Dovekit recited out loud who Starclan was. “Starclan are our wise warrior ancestors. They give medicine cats prophecies in simple words, like leaf, or snow, right?” Strikepaw meowed. “That’s exactly it. Ah, I remember when I was a kit.” The overgrown apprentice let out a loud mew of a sigh. Pebbleheart interrupted them by coughing loudly. “We have a prophecy for you, Dovekit.” Dovekit wagged her tail, then stopped, dumbfounded. “Only medicine cats can-” She was interrupted by Strikepaw’s tail put over her mouth to silence her.”When the lion is king no longer, a new bond shall usher forth a cursed age and a change of leadership.” As soon as he finished his prophecy, his form started to fade into nothingness. Diamondshine was the next to disappear. Then, slowly, Strikepaw was gone too. “Wait! What do I do? What cursed age? When the lion is king? What does it mean?” Her mind a whirl of questions, Dovekit stared where Strikepaw had disappeared to. What did they mean? Am I destined to complete this prophecy?
    Chapter 1;
“Dovepaw! Wake up! Dovepaw” A paw prodded Dovepaw’s side as she opened her eyes. It was her mentor and close friend, Wavewind. She was a pretty brown tabby with white paws and emerald green eyes. She was also the nicest warrior in Thunderclan, in Dovepaw’s opinion. “Come on, sleepyhead! We have training to do. If it makes you feel any better, it’s fighting with the other two apprentices.” The other two apprentices were Cloverpaw and Berrypaw. Wolfpaw was an apprentice too, but he was becoming a warrior soon. So, the two cats trotted into the clearing where their own leader, Lionstar, was organizing patrols.” We need a border patrol out by the Shadowclan border. I’ve heard word that a few Shadowclan warriors were trying to steal Thunderclan prey yesterday, and now we need a patrol across our border.” He explained to the warriors surrounding him. Birchleaf, a big brown tabby tom, hissed. “Those Shadowclan cats had better stay off our land, or I’ll shred their fur!” Lionstar calmly flicked his tail, a signal for silence. Once everyone was quiet, he continued. “So, I want Wavewind to lead a patrol to the border.  Then, Birchleaf can lead a hunting patrol.” When he saw Birchleaf hiss, he added.”You know that leaf-bare is coming soon, so we need to stock up on prey.” Wavewind gave a calm mew to her leader. “Lionstar, I’m taking Dovepaw out to fight with me and Cloverpaw and Berrypaw. You’ll have to find someone else to lead a Shadowclan border patrol.”Lionstar nodded, signaling for his senior warriors to follow him. He led them up to his den in silence. Wavewind searched around for Birdfeather, Cloverpaw’s mentor, and Snowsong, Berrypaw’s mentor. She spotted them sunning themselves on the sunrocks. She hurried over, her apprentice at her heels. Dovepaw leaped in front of Wavewind and charged towards Snowsong and Birdfeather. Birdfeather is her aunt, thought Wavewind. And Snowsong is a close friend of hers. I wonder what it’s like to have a cat older than you as a close friend. Snowsong was the first to greet them. “Hello, Wavewind, hi Dovepaw.” She mewed in her usual friendly tone. Birdfeather purred when she saw Dovepaw. “We have a fighting session today, and I thought you both could come and bring your apprentices with you.” Snowsong nodded and so did Birdfeather. “I’ll be back, I’m gonna go get Berrypaw and Cloverpaw” and with that, Snowsong was gone.  When they reached the training hollow, the three mentors had decided to pit the apprentices against each other. Dovepaw was training with Berrypaw, and Cloverpaw sat back and watched. “Watch closely” Wavewind instructed the apprentices. She lashed her forepaw out at Snowsong, who ducked away and caught her belly with a hind paw. The brown and white she-cat rolled down the hollow, where she stopped. She lay there, unmoving. Snowsong snuck up to her and looked down on her opponent, looking victorious. Then, as Snowsong loomed over Dovepaw’s mentor, Wavewind, she kicked up with her hind legs, hitting Snowsong in the face and making her tumble backwards. It took Snowsong a minute to get back up, and when she did, she almost tumbled back down. “Now, you try. Dovepaw, do the move Wavewind just did.” Dovepaw crept up to Berrypaw and lashed out her paw. The white apprentice did exactly as Snowsong did, knocking her around the hollow. Then, when Berrypaw didn’t expect it, she reared back her paws, knocking the fluffy white cat down. “Good” purred Wavewind, flicking her tail across the gray apprentices’ ears.
When the training session finished, the six cats headed back to Thunderclan’s camp. The clan deputy, Flamefoot, was chatting with his mate, Nightmoon. Presently, Nightmoon had a litter of three kits, but only one survived. His name was Moonkit. Moonkit circled his mother’s paws. She was still talking to Flamefoot as he tugged on her tail lightly. Dovepaw purred as she remembered her kithood. Her mother, Goldensky, was always overprotective of her. Then, as she reminisced over kithood memories, the words of the Starclan cats rung in her head. When the lion is king no longer,a new bond shall usher forth a cursed age and a change of leadership. She hated that the prophecy had come to her and not the clan medicine cat, Wormtail. He was the cat of Thunderclan who could be given a prophecy, and could tell what it was soon after being told.  She thought in the deepest parts of her mind that she should tell Wormtail about the prophecy. He could tell her what it meant, and then she wouldn’t be holding it in any longer. She decided that she should tell Wormtail. She looked to see if anyone was in it before entering. The only cat in the Medicine cat den was Wormtail. He was a hairless tom, rare because both his mother and father had fur. He was chewing up leaves, wrinkling his nose at the taste. “Er- Wormtail, can I talk to you for a moment.” She asked as he looked up at her. He nodded, still chewing leaves as she continued.”I had a dream, as a kit. There were three cats, and one of them asked me if I knew what Starclan was. I told them, and then one of them said a prophecy. It was ‘When the lion is king no longer, a new bond shall usher forth a cursed age and a change of leadership.’ I didn’t know what to think, so I just came to you.” She stopped and stared at him for a moment. Wormtail stopped, narrowing his eyes in deep thought. Then, after a moment of silence, he said. ” I can’t interpret your own prophecy for you, Dovepaw, but you shouldn’t even have a prophecy, unless you’re a medicine cat or leader.” He finished, looking back down. “Just give it time, you’ll figure it out. But I suggest you don’t tell anyone. You don’t want panic going around. I don’t know how to heal that.” He purred at his joke. Dovepaw nodded, exiting the den. When she headed for the apprentices den, she was immediately tired. It was already close to nightfall, so she curled up in her nest, beside Berrypaw’s, and went to sleep.
In the morning, Dovepaw awoke, feeling a fresh wave of tiredness. She wished her mother let her sleep more, but Goldensky had told Dovepaw to find the ticks the elders had in their fur. She had to go to the medicine den and collect mouse bile, which killed ticks. Surprisingly, Wormtail didn’t ask about the prophecy when she asked for the stuff. He just gave it to her and said good luck. Now, she was on her way to the elders den. Dustytail was still asleep, and Velvettail was washing her paws as Dovepaw entered. “Why, hello Dovepaw. You look tired. Let me guess, someone put you on tick duty?” Asked Velvettail. “Yeah, Goldensky did. Do you have any ticks?” She asked, in a hurry to leave.  Velvettail shook her head no, and Dustytail mewed the word no. He was awake now. “Then what do I do with this?” she asked, pointing her left paw at the mouse bile on a stick. Dustytail flicked his ears. ” Wash it off in the river.” he suggested, ignoring her smart mouthed attitude. She just hissed slightly. Dovepaw hated being told what to do by someone who thinks they know better. Wavewind, her parents, the medicine cat and the deputy, were the only people she followed orders from. By the end of the day, Lionstar had called a clan meeting. All the cats of Thunderclan, including Moonkit, were sitting, waiting for Lionstar to appear from his den. Berrypaw leaned over to Dovepaw and said. “Do you know what this is about?” Dovepaw just shook her head no. She had sat in her nest most of the day, waiting for nighttime to roll around. Cloverpaw trotted up to them, hit tail waving. “I hear Wolfpaw is going to get his warrior name! He’s Dovepaw’s older brother, so I thought I should say it.” he paused, looking from one she-cat to another. “When will we ever get ours?” hissed Berrypaw. “We’ve been training forever!” Dovepaw bit back a jealous sigh. She wished she could have her warrior name, but every time she complained about it to Wavewind, she told her the same thing every time. “You have to work towards it, then you’ll get it!” A loud yowl sounded from above. The meeting had started. “Cats of Thunderclan” Meowed Lionstar, “I have joined together with you to give this cat his warrior name!” He flicked his tail towards Wolfpaw, who was a tail-length away. “I, Lionstar, call down on my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in turn. Wolfpaw.”He turned to look at the tall black apprentice. “Is it your wish to become a warrior of Thunderclan, and protect it with your life?”
The apprentice nodded, and Lionstar continued. “Very well. From this day forward, you shall be known as Wolfcloud. Starclan honors your wisdom and courage, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan.”  As soon as he finished, the clan started to cheer. “Wolfcloud! Wolfcloud!” Even though Dovepaw was jealous, she still yowled along with her clanmates. She dreamed that someday soon her warrior name would come. Then people wouldn’t treat her like some dumb kit. She would be treated like any other warrior in the clan. Berrypaw echoed her thoughts aloud.
Wolfcloud is sleeping in the warrior den now, Thought Dovepaw as she silently watched Berrypaw and Cloverpaw walk into the den. She sighed. She kind of missed her brother being in the apprentices den. She liked to laugh whenever Berrypaw accidentally stepped on his long tail. He was the grouchiest apprentice yet, but everyone still missed him. Cloverpaw lied down, looking up at the moon from the mouth of the den. She saw him sigh as he said. “The gathering will be held tomorrow. Berrypaw, are you going?” He asked, turning to the white cat. She shook her head no, then looked at Dovepaw. “Yeah, I’m going.” Wavewind had told her that this morning, she would be going to the gathering tomorrow night. Cloverpaw mewed. “I am too. We’ll miss you while we’re gone, Berrypaw.” Dovepaw nodded to her clanmates. Then, she curled up, closed her eyes, and drifted into sleep.
Dovepaw was woken by the shrill yowling outside. It was still nighttime! Dovepaw scrambled out of her nest and headed into the clearing. There, she saw what looked like the whole of Shadowclan charging into the camp. The clan’s leader, Brackenstar, was heading towards Lionstar’s den, a look of shrill anger on his face. The yowling was Wolfcloud, who was tangled in a fight with Ribbontail, a Shadowclan warrior. She looked around for her mentor and spotted her in a fight with a cat she didn’t know. The cat was thin and had spiky fur with green eyes. The color of the cat’s fur was weird, greenish gray. She had blood running down her eye. Wavewind had a deep scratch that stretched from her shoulder to her paw. Both she-cats looked tuckered out, but neither gave up. Dovepaw watched as Wavewind was knocked down quickly, then the greenish cat turned to Dovepaw. Now’s your chance! You can prove yourself!
She thought as the ugly cat swiped at her. She missed, and Dovepaw clawed at her belly. She let out a shriek of pain and hissed as she scurried over to Lionstar’s den. They were all heading for Lionstar’s den now! Dovepaw thought of her leader as she bolted after the cats. Lionstar was brave, but not that brave. She spotted Flamefoot fending off the entrance as two cats leaped past him. Dovepaw leaped over him as well. But it was too late. There, laying on the floor in a pool of dark red blood, was Lionstar.
    Chapter 2;
Dovepaw couldn’t believe it. Her leader was dead. She looked up. The cats inside the den were Brackenstar and the greenish cat. Brackenstar hissed, and the green cat just stared. “What did you do to Lionstar?” She hissed at the tabby brown Shadowclan leader. Brackenstar glared at her. “What does it look like we did, kit?” he jeered. The greenish cat slapped her tail over his mouth. “Shut up, Brackenheart.” She meowed in a dark tone. Brackenheart? But that’s Brackenstar’s warrior name! He’s a clan leader! ¨Why did you kill Lionstar? Did he do anything to you first?”she asked in an outraged hiss of a question. ¨I don´t need your talk! I used to be a clan leader, up until Snakestar here became our leader.” Dovepaw didn’t believe her ears. Snakestar? ¨But Starclan gave you nine lives! You can’t just throw them away like that!” Brackenstar, now Brackenheart, just snorted. Snakestar spoke up.”Listen, kit. Shadowclan has been put down one too many times. Itś about time we got our vengeance! So, I made a deal with Brackenstar. I told him that if I could become Shadowclanś leader, we would rule over all of this puny forest. We will start by killing all the other clan leaders, then we will be leaders of all clans!¨ Dovepaw thought Snakestar was scary already. She didn’t want her clan leader to die! Just then, in her head, she heard the words she knew well. When the lion is king no longer, a new bond will usher forth a cursed age and a change of leadership. Now she got it! When the lion is king no longer meant when Lionstar died. A new bond shall usher forth meant that Shadowclan would make a bond between them. A cursed age and a change of leadership meant Snakestar is now the leader of Shadowclan. Dovepaw had to stop this! As she made it up in her mind, Snakestar and Brackenheart both leaped over her and called out to the cats. ¨ Cats of Thunderclan and Shadowclan! I have news for you. We will join together and we will all be Shadowclan! I am your leader, Snakestar, and anyone who wants to question this, you come to me and me only!” Dovepaw snarled, but one look from Snakestar, and she was quiet. ¨What happened to Lionstar?¨ asked Birchleaf. ¨He wouldn’t like this!¨ Snakestar leaped down and landed on Birchleafś shoulders. The tom gave a mew of surprise as she pinned her claws to his neck. ¨Fool! He’s gone! Iḿ your leader now!¨Birchleaf just gulped, but didn’t say anything.¨Any more questions?¨ she asked, slightly calm. Nobody said anything, not even Wavewind.
This is wrong, so wrong! We have to do something! But what?

The next day, Dovepaw decided to take a nap. Snakestar kept all the cats she thought would betray ¨Shadowclan¨ in a den to themselves all day. Dovepaw, Wavewind, Flamefoot, Nightmoon, and Moonkit were those cats. ¨So, you had a prophecy about this?¨ asked Flamefoot, who was listening to Dovepaw tell them about her prophecy. She nodded, feeling shame that she didn’t tell anyone. ¨Did Starclan tell you how we stop this madness?¨ asked Wavewind, licking the claw mark on her paw. ¨No, I didn’t have time to ask them.¨ She replied. Moonkit let out a little cry. ¨Mommy, when will we be out of this den? I want to go play!¨ Nightmoon swept her tail over her kit protectively. ¨You can play later. Right now, we must stay here.¨ Her blue eyes rested on Flamefoot. ¨You’re the clan deputy. If you can make it to the moonpool with Wormtail, you’ll be able to receive nine lives, and then you can challenge Snakestar for leadership of this clan. She cant say no then!¨ Flamefoot looked down for a moment. ¨Thatś a good idea. Weĺl need to get a hold of Wormtail somehow.¨he meowed. ¨How can we do that if weŕe trapped here?¨ asked Wavewind. Nightmoon looked at Dovepaw. ¨You could ask Starclan, Dovepaw!¨ She exclaimed! Dovepaw nodded, already tired, and lied down and closed her eyes.
Dovepaw opened her eyes. She was in the same cave as the dream! Slowly, she turned around. She was relieved when she saw the familiar pelt of the white cat from when she was a kit. ¨Greetings,Dovepaw¨ she said elegantly. ¨I suppose I don’t have to ask what brings you here. I already know. Good job on figuring out the prophecy!¨ There was amusement in her voice as she added. ¨By the way, iḿ Strikepaw. I was a Riverclan cat before I died in a flood. My mentor was Diamondshine, the cat you saw earlier with the ginger pelt. Also, Pebbleheart was the big tom. He was a windclan cat.¨ Dovepaw opened her jaws, but couldn’t say a word. ¨Well, If you wish to speak to Lionstar, here he is. Oh, Lionstar!¨ after Strikepaw said that, the huge golden tabby appeared. He looked younger and more fit than he was earlier. She stepped back and faded away. Lionstar purred when he saw Dovepaw. ¨So, I hear Snakestar has taken over, eh?¨ Dovepaw nodded, shame holding her heart. She tried to get there in time to save him, but she was too slow. ¨We don´t have to have Flamefoot travel to the Moonpool to receive his lives. Tell him to go to sleep.¨ and with that, Lionstar was wind. Dovepaw opened her eyes. She was back in the den, with Wavewind and the others. Nightmoon rushed over to her. ¨What did they say?¨ she asked in a frenzy. Dovepaw blinked. ¨They told me to tell Flamefoot to go to sleep. That he would receive his nine lives if he did.¨ Flamefoot gave a grim nod, and settled down beside Nightmoon. He closed his eyes, and was soon sleeping. Dovepaw heard a hiss from far away. It was Snakestar. She had Birchleaf by the throat and was slinging him around the camp.¨Traitor! How dare you try to kill me! I am your leader! What about that do you not understand.¨ It was a statement, not a question. Dovepaw looked at Birchleaf. He looked exactly like Lionstar did when he died. ¨Oh no,¨ whispered Wavewind. ¨Ḧeś dead.¨ she mumbled. The way Birchleaf acted, there was no way he could have avoided death. ¨Brackenheart! Bury this fool! He had no right at all!¨ she ordered.Dovepaw didn’t want to see any more. Instead, she turned away and looked at Flamefoot, who was just beginning to wake up. ¨What happened?¨ asked Dovepaw. Flamefoot opened his brown eyes and said. ¨Call me Flamestar now.¨ Wavewind let out a very quiet yowl of victory. So did everyone else. Flamestar came up to the mouth of the den, where her clanmates were forced to guard, and yowled. ¨Snakestar, I, Flamestar of Thunderclan, challenge you to a fight to see who will lead this clan!¨ Snakestar came up to Flamestar. Dovepaw held her breath for a moment. ¨Fine then, come out and fight me like a true leader.¨ she snarled, leading him out into the clearing.
¨We start now!¨ she snarled. She leaped at him, claws unsheathed. She was able to slice his face a bit before he dodged most of her attack. He kicked back, sending her flying across the camp. She staggered back up instantly. She came over lightly and slowly and then knocked him over. She pinned him down by the neck. He couldn’t get up! Dovepaw couldn’t watch him lose! He was going to win no matter what! She was able to get out of the den and leap out at the Shadowclan leader. She sliced the green she-cats nose, and blood started oozing out. She gave a hiss, but she was getting choked. The cat who was choking her was Brackenheart! He leaped on her shoulders and gave a killing bite. The she-cat stopped moving now. She was dead. Dovepaw sighed. She wished everything could have gone better. Brackenheart got up and moved towards the cats watching. ¨Cats of the original Shadowclan, I am now your leader again. I’m sorry, I made a bad decision by making her leader. She is gone now, so now you must call me Brackenstar¨. All the Shadowclan cats cheered happily.
¨Flamestar, I am truly sorry for all this madness. We owe Thunderclan a huge debt. Shadowclan is indebted to Thunderclan. It was me who made this mistake, so you do not have to forgive me.¨ Said Brackenstar chillingly. Flamestar just stared and said, ¨I cannot forgive you for the death of our former leader, but I can for your bad judgement. A way you can make it up to us, is by staying for a moment. Berrypaw, Cloverpaw, Dovepaw, come here you three!¨ All three apprentices made their way up to the front of the crowd. Flamestar leaped up onto highrock and yowled the clan meeting words. ¨I think this is it!¨ squealed Berrypaw in excitement. ¨I, Flamestar, leader of Thunderclan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I command them to you in turn. Cloverpaw.¨ He said, looking down on Cloverpaw. His dark gray fur shone with pride. His green eyes had pride spelled out in them. ¨Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect this clan with your life, all three of you?¨ Dovepaw felt so happy she could squeal. Berrypaw was first to say it ¨I do! Cloverpaw was next, ¨I do, and then there was Dovepawś ¨I do!¨ Then, by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior names. From this day forward, You shall be known as Clovereyes, Berryheart, and Dovestream!¨
Dovestream heard the chorus of cats cheering their names. ¨We did it! We became warriors!¨ meowed Clovereyes. ¨Yeah!¨ Said Dovestream and Berryheart at the same time. Dovestream thought deeply in her mind; I did it! I finally became a warrior.
Again, I was bored, dont judge meeee 😛

𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 as an echo ricocheted out of the undergrowth. The she kit’s heart leapt in her chest as she slowly rose from the nest, creeping towards the entrance. The sound became louder as she approached it.

It was familiar ticking. Petalkit let out a soft gasp as a shadow slithered by. Bristling, she jumped back, arching her back. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬…. The tiny tortoiseshell slid out her claws, rumbling a low growl. The entrance shivered as Ashclaw, a BreezeClan warrior, padded inside the den, his apprentice, Forestpaw at his side. Petalkit shifted her pelt, lowering her haunches with a slow exhale.

“What’s that sound?” She whispered. “The leftover rain from last night is falling off the cliffsides. Must have been what you were hearing.” Ashclaw explained, “Dawn is approaching. It’s time to take you home.”
Petalkit nodded, twitching her tail as they slipped out of the undergrowth.
The morning air was crisp, making the kit fluff her pelt out.

The river roared loudly as the cats traveled up the bank-side towards SwiftClan territory. Petalkit stared at the rustling trees, wondering what was hiding inside them. Ashclaw halted as they reached the border; Petalkit recognized the familiar scents of her Clanmates in the air.

Soon, the bushes shivered as Beeflower and her patrol padded towards the border. “Petalkit!” Ravenmoon gasped, running forward. Petalkit purred as she breathed in her mother’s sweet scent. “Where were you?” Ravenmoon demanded, in a more sharper tone. The young she cat hesitated. “I-“ “She was found in our territory. We would like to speak to your leader.” Ashclaw interrupted with a narrowed look at Beeflower.

“About what?” Beeflower countered, her whiskers twitching curiously. “That is between your leader and us,” Ashclaw nodded towards his Clanmates, “It is a message from Mothstar.” He added. Beeflower nodded slowly before speaking, “Alright, follow us.”

Petalkit pressed against her mother, who’s fur bristled apprehensively. 𝐇𝗼𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝗼𝗼𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝗼 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? She thought, her heart pounding in her ear.

The camp was silent when they arrived, Moonstar talking to Petalkit’s father near the fresh kill pile. As Moonstar lifted her gaze, Petalkit noticed a strange glimmer in her gaze. “You found Petalkit.” She sighed in relief, fixing her gaze on the young she cat. “Yes,” Ravenmoon dipped her head with a quick glance at her daughter.

“Where was she?” Moonstar’s blue eyes glowed as she turned to look at Ashclaw. “That’s what we’re here to talk about.” The BreezeClan deputy hesitantly replied. Moonstar beckoned her tail towards her den as they padded away. Petalkit’s Clanmates watched with flickering eyes.

Petalkit glanced at Forestpaw, her gut twisted as a wretched thought crossed her mind. Her eyes scanned the crowd of cats. 𝐀𝐧𝐲𝗼𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝗼𝐰𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝗼𝐧 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝗼 𝐤𝐧𝗼𝐰𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭.

  • Eh I’m just making something

    Prologue
    ———————
“What were we thinking! A blue tom with red patches and a crooked muzzle yelled at the she cat standing across from him. They were standing on top of a tall hill at midnight the wind buffeting there fur. “How could you say that!”The red she cat with black paws and a spot over her eye yowled in anger “don’t you love me anymore” she asked more quietly sadness showing in her gaze. The tom looked away “let’s just each take one and go ok?” He mewed growling softly. The she started sobbing then screamed “FINE JUST GO JUST GO!” She sobbed running down the hill in anger and sadness leaving the blank tom on top of the hill.

    Chapter 1
    ———————
A white she cat with red splotches stood on top of the huge stump in the middle of a clearing with dens and cats milling around. “All cats old enough to catch there own prey gather beneath the tall stump for a clan meeting” the words rang throughout the clearing and the cats in the clearing started to gather around were she stood. “You all know that stoneclan is getting stronger by the minute we need to keep an eye out it’s not long ago one of our warriors brownbear was murdered” he voice cracked a little at her words. Brownbear was her father and it was sad to watch him go. Redshade her mother looked down at her paws in sadness at it to. “So I want extra patrols on their border And we need to keep an eye on butterfly clan to” she finished “clan dismissed”. All the cats slowly slipped away from the stump talking in low murmurs. Redshade started to approach her “are you ok rosestar” she asked in a low worried voice. “Yeah I’m fine mom don’t worry Mom” she meowed rubbing her muzzle across her mothers. Her mother gave her a unconvinced look but she got up and walked over to the fresh kill pile. Rosestar sighed tomorrow is another day she thought walking into a crack in the stump were her best lay. She curled up in the nest and slowly drifted off into sleep.

That’s all for now you probably won’t like it that much I’m just bored 😐

  • Redoing my fanfic! Now called Darktail’s Kin.

Darktail walked down to the lake with the new kittypet, Zelda, by his side. “Zelda, you’re about to learn the most important skill a member of the Kin needs.” “And what would that be?” “How to kill.” Zelda let out a squeal of horror. “An..and how do we do tha…” Zelda’s voice faded. “Bring the traitor!” As Zelda turned around, she saw Roach and Nettle carrying a writhing Dawnpelt to the lake. “Oh, Zelda. You just bite until you can’t feel them moving.” As Zelda watched, paralyzed with fear, Roach and Nettle hurled Dawnpelt into the waters. They held her down, just above the water. “Well?”, Darktail said. “Finish her.”

Smoke walked down to the river with her son, Darktail, by her side. “Darktail, you are about to learn the most important skill you need to finish your father…how to kill.” Darktail tilted his head sideways. “But, mother…there is no one to kill here.” “Don’t be so sure, my son.” True to Smoke’s word, a cat Darktail identified as Frostfur walked down along the river. Darktail said one world: “How?” “It’s easy. I’ve learned a good thing or two living in the wild.” Smoke jumped on Frostfur and restrained her in the river. “Bite her, Darktail. Bite her until she stops moving.”

    How do you like it?

NOTE: guys i am starting a channel, and i am starting a warriorcats PMV, using Goldenflower’s and tigerclaw’s life with the song “strange sight”. it may be ready in a month or less! 🙂
This chapters POV will be………… *drumroll*
    GOLDENFLOWER’S!

    chapter 4:

i wake up. i stare at my pastel blue wallpaper, and all the framed photos on the wall. i smile as i see one of Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt, barely five, playing with Snowkit- Speckletail’s dead son that had died during a hawk attack. i stare at the family portrait, just above my door. it has me holding my two children and… tigerstar- well he was tigerclaw then- beside me, staring at them and looking mighty proud. he was a good man. at least i thought he was. he barely gave me a second glance. see if i cared. care. i suppose i do care. i shake my head and pick up my phone. i scroll down my recent texts with sandstorm. she wants to do a picnic in SunningRocks Park today. i reply happily, letting her know that me and Brambleclaw will be there. i hear the doorbell ring and call for brambleclaw, whose already downstairs, to open it please. i hear loud whoops and already guess who it is. who else? name the most loud, fiery, funny, sassy, and annoying but sweet girl on the street- squirrelflight. i smile as i get dressed. i run downstairs, my golden hair flying.

i ran downstairs to see squirrelflight and brambleclaw at the table, squirrelflight showing him something on her phone. “cute, huh?” she’s saying. i turn to look and see daisy, holding two tiny bundles in her arms. “ahh. aren’t they precious? what are they called?” i ask, smiling. “toadkit and rosekit” squirrelflight tells me. one of them has black hair with little splodges of black and the other has cream-brown hair. i pour the tea into three mugs and hand one to all of us. “so what are you doing here?” i smirk into my cup, knowing exactly why she came here. “oh yeah- sandstorm told me to ask whether you wanna come SunningRocks park with us” squirrelflight says, drinking her tea. Brambleclaw stares “when?” he askes. “Lunch time, i think” squirrelflight says, doing a backlog of her mother’s texts. her phone starts ringing and she smiles apologetically and answers. “yeah…. really? but can’t we have the picnic first then go? ugh fine” she argues, while Brambleclaw puts a finger to the side of his head and mouths “barmy” to me. i roll my eyes and smile sweetly at squirrelflight, “mum said we have to go to the cinema’s with daisy’s first triplets- berrypaw, hazelpaw and mousepaw” says squirrelflight. “to watch what?” Brambleclaw asks warily. “some live-action kids movie. Anyway, i decided, you, me and tawnypelt can go watch another movie- i think she might bring Rowanclaw too. crowfeather doesnt want to come” squirrelflight adds, brushing her red hair out of her Green eyes. “so..” i pause, blinking cheekily, “so its like a double date?” i ask. squirrelflight rolls her eyes while Brambleclaw turns red. “no! its just a couple of friends goin’ to the cinema mum” he tells me annoyedly.

(they are humans with cat ears and tails)
        chapter one:
        sigh.
i woke up as i remembered what day it was.
        my birthday.
        sigh.
i expected another surprise, as usual. Firestar, and his family, would always call up most of Thunderclan to surprise me. i wonder why, he thought drily. i walked into the kitchen and saw my mother, Goldenflower, coating waffles with honey and berries. “that looks good” i told her, sitting on a stool. she smiles, “happy birthday, brambleclaw” and she pushes a plate towards me gently across the marble counter. i chew it slowly, thinking “Goldenflower, do you think Firestar’s going to make me another birthday surprise?” i sigh. “of course! he was your mentor- and the leader of the thunderclan police station, he made you deputy cheif” she added proudly. “pfft” i sigh, depressed. “thats not the worst part! he brings squirrelflight and cloudtail- they mess up the house” i sigh once again. Goldenflower grins cheekily, beating dough, ready for cookies. “but i thought you liked squirrelflight? you certainly seemed to like her enough to take her on the journey, you teenagers went on” goldenflower said, now aggressively punching the dough. “smh.” i say, feeling myself go hot. i shake my head and get up, walking to the fridge and grabbing a cold coke bottle. i sit back down and goldenflower says “you should be grateful cats come to your parties, remember you and tawnypelt’s first birthday?” Goldenflower frowned a bit. oh i remember it alright. the only people there were Goldenflower’s friends, he thought bitterly. i hear the doorbell and open the door, funnily enough i see firestar, five pizza boxes in his hands and he was wearing sunglases like a boss. sandstorm walks in, snapping to someone on her phone. leafpool rushes up to give Goldenflower a hug, while squirrelflight and cloudtail smile mischievously. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” squirrelflight yells, and flip-flops on the sofa. “hey thats my seat!” cloudtail argues, throwing his sandal at her. she pretends to fall off the sofa and bang her head on the coffee table, then she groans and pretends to faint. Cloudtail, as foolish as he is, shouts “SQUIRRELFLIGHT! IM SORRY- DONT DIE ON ME,” he shouts as he crouches beside her, she wakes up and runs away from the living room, dragging a poor leafpool with her. i hear their footsteps upstairs and growl angrily. Goldenflower shoots me a warning look. i rush up after them. they’re looking at a family portrait. me and tawnypelt are toddles there, while im in tigerstar’s arms and goldenflower picks up tawnypelt. i growl. they stare at it curiously and i remember they never saw tigerstar. lucky them. then squirrelflight touches tawnypelt, and giggles gently. “her hair was so fluffy” she says touching the portrait. leafpool’s amber eyes still watch the portrait, studying the family. “why are you two up here?” i ask them. squirrelflight shrugs. “we needed somewhere to hide your gifts” she grins. i nod. “well you could have left it in the living room.” i tell them. suddenly i hear more people come in and run to my bedroom, bolting the door, locked. suddenly i turn and see mousepaw, berrypaw and hazelpaw dancing. “when did you guys get here?” i yell. they shrug. “it was all a heist, you were too busy flirting with squirrelflight to see us come through” berrypaw says cheekily. “i. dont. flirt. with. squirrelflight.” i spit out angrily. hazelpaw shrugs “well, we know what flirting looks like and i smell a ship…. oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh” she jokes. i raise my hand to give them the slapping they deserve but they all bolt out quickly. huh, i guess daisy gives them slappings too. i think, smiling.
        chapter two:
i smile and slide down the banisters, then i gasp. there’s at least twenty people in the living room, and five kids running riot. firestar seems me and gives me a hand-shake. Goldenflower turns on the TV and the worst thing EVER comes on: a photo of toddler me playing with toy bricks. im lucky its not a bath photo, i think angrily. “aww he was so cute!” brightheart, holding her daughter, whitepaw’s hand giggles. “smh. beat my toddler photos” squirrelflight tells them. i roll my eyes and sit on the floor, cross-legged. daisy’s new twins, rosekit and toadkit, crawl towards me, gurgling and cooing. “hello” i say. then i see a seabird on the windowsill. i talk to it “do you know when all these people are gonna leave my house?” i ask it. “a-are you talking to the bird?!” sandstorm asks, eyebrows raised. “uh no” i said hurriedly. but its too late, squirrelflight is already wheezing on the sofa, while cloudtail laughs loudly. brightheart sighs, embarressed by her husband’s behaviour. Goldenflower, followed by mousefur, sit on the sofa. “im Surprised firestar turned out to be the one to start planning parties for tigerstar’s kin” mousefur snorts. i sit down, concentrating on my orange juice. “hey mousefur that’s not fair, isn’t Goldenflower your cousin? why would you insult your own family, oh the shame” squirrelflight says. she sips her orange juice and gets up to open the door as they hear the doorbell. “WHOOP! ITS THE PIZZA!” she shouts. firestar looks embarressed as he gets up and sees the poor delivery guy looking terrified of squirrelflight’s loud voice. firestar pays the dude and brings the pizza inside. squirrelflight ferrets around “HEYYY. DIDNT WE ORDER GARLIC BREAD?” she asks. “ew garlic bread? what are you, a vampire?” daisy squeals. “FYI vampires dont like garlic” squirrelflight retorts and opens the window “PIZZA GUY! YOU FORGOT THE GARLIC BREADDDDDDDDDDDDD!” she shouts. leafpool sighs. as squirrelflight opens the door, more people appear, birchpaw and his mentor, ashfur. Ashfur comes in and drags birchpaw with him. half the crowd goes to the window to see squirrelflight argue. “…he ordered garlic bread and he WANTS garlic bread” squirrelflight was saying, “i-im sorry ma’am… ill return in around a half-hour for your garlic bread” he told her and zoomed off, ignoring her rage. firestar sits, looking depressed. Goldenflower sits down and cuts the pizza into slices. squirrelflight barges in and sits on a bean bag, “the cheek of it! calling me ma’am like im some old lady” she snorts rebelliously. As brambleclaw opens his mouth to retort, she snaps “close your mouth brambleclaw, its not attractive.”. berrypaw and mousepaw burst out laughing. “MUM! ROSEKIT AND TOADKIT ARE MISSING!” hazelpaw shreiks, her brown braids flying. the whole crowd gets up. “toadkit! rosekit! come on babies- its momma!” daisy coos looking around. he hears glass break upstairs, he catches ashfur and squirrelflight eyes. they all race up the stairs, physically shoving each other, i guess i have to be glad my father is tigerstar, im stronger and bigger than firestar! i think. i push my way up and grab toadkit and rosekit gently. i put them on my shoulders and run down and give them to daisy. i remember ashfur and squirrelflight are stilll upstairs and rush up to them both. they’re in my bedroom and i frown to see them stuffing gift bags under my bed. “BERRYPAW WE NEED YOU ASAP!” squirrelflight yells. and berrypaw comes up, dragging brambleclaw down. he pats his hand. “dont worry- you can flirt later” he soothes. brambleclaw picks berrypaw up, and throws him to the sofa. “BRAMBLECLAW!” daisy shouts. she picks up her son, and gives him a kiss on his cheek gently “are you okay honey?” she asked her son. “yep” he said. “whatever possesed you to throw a 10 year-old boy across a room?!” daisy squawks. “smh- its cause i told him he could flirt squirrelflight later” berrypaw sniffed. sandstorm, who was sitting beside Goldenflower, turned back. “we’d never think tigerstar and firestar’s kin would ever learn to like each other” she smiled. “im glad my daughter makes that possible” she added cheekily. brambleclaw wanted to sit in an alley and sob. he felt a hand pat his shoulder, “trust me- you dont want a devil as your mate” firestar jokes. “SHES NOT MEH DANG MATE” brambleclaw shouts angrily.

  • Here’s the first chapter of A War Between Peace!

    Chapter one:

“Today’s your big day!” Ravine’s  mom, Petalcream, says. “You’re going to be a apprentice!” “Mom, my warrior name will be Fernshade, and his name is going to be Ravinedirt.” Ravine’s sister, Fern, says. “Hey! Ravinedirt is a great name. I bet yours will be Fernsassy.” Ravine says sticking out his tongue. “You guys are mouse-brained.” Sun mews as her mom cleans her yellow pelt. “Says the one who is getting cleaned by their mother.” Fern mews. “So will you.” Petalcream says and starts licking Fern’s fur. “Look who’s showing off their name Fernsassy.” Eclipse chimes in. Everyone laughs, even Fern.

“I call leader of NightClan!” Moon yells and stands on the rock outside of the nursery. “I’ll be leader of CloudClan!” Fern yells putting her two front paws on the rock. “Leader of MistClan!” Ravine screams and puts his paw on the rock. “Leader of ShadeClan!” Scar puts his paws on the rock. “Leader of PineClan!” Eclipse yells. “Oh no, you’re leader of TickClan.” Everyone laughs. “I’m leader of BushClan.” Sun murmurs. Spikestar, the leader of NightClan steps on the Night rock for a clan meeting. “Every cat in this clan, please join below for a clan meeting.” As everyone joins by the rock. “Today all kits will become apprentices!” She exclaimed. “Ravine, your mentor will be Scavengeclaw, Fern, your mentor will be Yarrowtooth,” everyone stares wide-eyed at Fern. No one suspected she would be the next next medicine cat. “Sun, your mentor will be Freshberry. Moon, your mentor will be Coldstalk, Eclipse, your mentor will be Ceadarheat, and Scar, your mentor will be Ravenheart.” All cats cheered. “Now, please swear by this oath: I will never disobey orders, and be the best that I can.” All the new apprentices murmured the oath. “Now until you are a warrior, the end of your name will be ‘paw’.” Everyone started cheering on the names.

“So, we’re going to learn how to collect moss?” Ravinepaw asked Scavengeclaw. “Yup. Tomorrow we get to learn how to treat ticks with Moonpaw and Brownpaw.” He said. “Yay!” Ravinepaw says sarcastically. “What are we waiting for again?” “Eclipsepaw and Scarpaw.” Scavengeclaw mews. “I hate this. Let’s go.” Ravinepaw jumps up and exclaims. “Now, you must be patient.” Scavengeclaw urges. “But, we could explore the CloudClan border while we’re over here.” He gets up and starts padding away. “C’mon, let’s go!” He yells to Ravinepaw.

“Wow! I never knew how much was over here!” Ravinepaw squeaks. “There’s a CloudClan border patrol, stay still.” Scavengeclaw notices. An apprentice, and two warriors show up. “Look whose choosing to finally come and say hi from the darkside.” The big white warrior meows and paces along the border. “We don’t want trouble, I was just showing my new apprentice around.” Scavengeclaw replies and narrows his eyes. “Oh, a new one huh?” The white warrior questions. “We also don’t want trouble with this new apprentice too.” The black warrior meows nudging the other. “We were just leaving.” “No we’re not.” The white warrior yelled over her voice. “Please, Grainfur, believe us, we were just exploring this new and exciting border.” Scavengeclaw insists. “Ha. Begging out of a fight? So pathetic NightClan warriors.” Grainfur mews. “We never crossed your border,” Ravinepaw steps up and meows. “Oh you teach your apprentices to talk back too. How sweet.” Grainfur exclaims. “No they don’t! They teach us good stuff to help our clan! Like finding moss and looking for ticks and hunting and stuff.” Ravinepaw snaps at Grainfur. “That’s enough, Ravinepaw.” Scavengeclaw meows. “Let’s go, and no one needs to get hurt.” “No one needs to get hurt? I smell NightClan past our border, so you need to get hurt.”

“Woodpaw, go get help. Don’t say it was NightClan’s fault.” The black warrior of CloudClan urges to her apprentice. She looks at Ravinepaw and nods. He knows she’s not in his clan, but he trusts her and goes back to clan for some help. “Help! Help! A CloudClan warrior is attacking Scavengeclaw!” He screams when he reaches the entrance. “Scarpaw, Ravenheart, and Goldstripe, go help.” Spikestar meows seriously and cocks her head towards me. “No fighting unless more warriors show up, then come back and get more help!” She yells after us. “Who actually is attacking Scavengeclaw?” Goldstripe asks as we run. “I think his name is Grainfur,” Ravinepaw replies. Ravenheart and and Goldstripe exchange a quick glance. “Interesting.” He says.

As Grainfur claws Scavengeclaw’s shoulder, the black CloudClan warrior is trying to pull Grainfur off. “Don’t just there mouse-brains! Help me!” She yells to Ravinepaw, Scarpaw, Ravenheart, and Goldstripe. Ravinepaw races over and pulls Grainfur scruff and the black she-cat pulls his hind legs. Goldstripe starts pushing Grainfur from under him. Woodpaw and two other CloudClan warriors show up. “Woodpaw go over and,” the black cat cuts off the big orange tom. “Shut it and get over here you idiots!” As run over they manage to Grainfur off. “Let me at him! Let me at him!” Grainfur screams kicking and raking his hind paw claws on Goldstripe. We push him down and pin him to the ground. “Say sorry to Scavengeclaw.” The big orange tom orders Grainfur. “No! He crossed our border!” He struggles to get up with us on top of him. “Do it now, or I put you on apprentice duties all twelve moons.”
    “Nope!”
    “Fine. Twenty-four moons.”
    “Nope.”
    “The rest of your life.”
    “Nope.”
“I’ll make you an apprentice again.”
    “No.”
“I’ll band you from the clan.”

Grainfur sighs, “sorry.” He mumbles. Scavengeclaw waves his tail for them to follow. “Bye! Thanks to the black cat!” Ravinepaw yell to the CloudClan warriors. “Name’s Pantherfrost.” The black cat calls to Ravinepaw. “See you around.” I grin and run after the other NightClan cats. “What was that Ravinepaw?” Scarpaw asks. “What was what?” Ravinepaw asks. “You being friends with that cat?” He questions. “Not friends. Just, know each other.” Ravinepaw replies. “Don’t be friends with another cat from another clan. Trust me, I know.” Ravenheart has a hint of sadness in his voice.

Spikestar was right outside her den pacing around. “Is everyone okay?” “Yeah.” Goldstripe walks up to her. Ravinepaw goes to the fresh kill pile, grabs a shrew and starts eating. After he finishes, he goes to his nest and drifts off to sleep. Ravinepaw opens his eyes to be in a bright clearing, with sand. Nothing else. “Hello?” He hollers. “Go to the gathering place. Wake up and go. Now. You will be needed there. Bring no one, tell no one, not even your sister Fern.” A voice whispers. “Wait, why?” Ravinepaw asks, but he wakes up. So confused. He thought. He got up and crept out of the den. Skymoon, a warrior, was guarding the camp. Ravinepaw flicked a rock to the dirt place tunnel, as Skymoon walked over, he ran quickly out the entrance.

As he approached the Gathering Place, he heard meows of laughter. As he finally got visible to the other cats, he could make out what they were saying. Pantherfrost sat by the CloudClan tree. “Yeah. Grainfur is really annoying.” She mewed, then turned her head towards me. “Hello. Ravinepaw, right?” “Uh-uh, yeah.” Ravinepaw murmured nervously. “Ravinepaw of NightClan.” A orange tabby stands by the ShadeClan tree. “Everyone’s here!” A starry cat appears. “Hello. Listen, all six of you take apart in saving these clans, upon more and more of a war. Blood will spill in the battle, you need to save the clans. To do that, you must find cats within these borders. You either die, or save the clans. Meet here tomorrow, the sun is rising.”

  • So, here we are back with another chapter of RoA! (Rise of Aeryn) Welcoming a few new characters, Fenri, Celeste, and Zeke! Hope you enjoy! <3

    In The Forest

    Ami’s POV, 4:55 P.M.

Ami leapt over the monster as her heart pounded in her chest. She ducked, dodged, and rolled, only to collapse as a demon’s claws raked her back. She trembled, feeling weak. She gritted her teeth. She couldn’t lose hope. There might still be a way…

    In The Forest

    Fenri’s POV, 5:00 P.M.

Fenri opened his eyes. Shrieks of monsters and demons had awoken him. He immediately got up as he saw a girl practically being shredded by monsters. He raced to the scene, snarling, his eyes emitting a faint orange glow as he sliced a demon with his claws in half, turning it into dust. Roughly thirty-nine more monsters turned to stare at him, eyes narrowing. Fenri smiled with a wide grin, trying to seem friendly, but it utterly failed, so he just growled,
         “Surprise.”

    In The Forest

    Fenri’s POV, 5:15 P.M.

Fenri unleashed a volley of death. He sliced, cut, and pierced all thirty-eight monsters, except a young demon-girl. She backed away nervously. Fenri suddenly realized why. As he looked down, he was standing in a pile of monster dust and remains that disgusted him. He carefully picked his way out of the mess and came face-to-face with the demon girl. He bent down, and he glared at the demon.
“Why are you here?” He asked, his voice threateningly soft. The demon let loose a quiet, nervous laugh.
“I-I… Aeryn said to ambush her..” Fenri looked at the collapsed girl behind the demon. She had stiffened when she heard Aeryn’s name. Perhaps…
“Scram before I rip you to shreds, like I did with the others.” He jerked his claws forward towards the girl’s face, and she yelped and scrambled away.

    In Fenri’s Camp

    Ami’s POV, 8:30 P.M.

Ami raised her head, and she groaned. The claw marks on her back throbbed, yet not as much as they had before. She rolled over and saw a teenager about the same age staring at her. She bit back a gasp and sat upright, jerking more pain from her scratches.
“Who are you?” She demanded. The teenager smiled, but it was a failed attempt to lighten the mood, as he was very intimidating.
“So…” Ami began awkwardly. “What am I doing here?”
“Well,” The teenager mused, studying his unsheathed claws, “You were about to be trampled by a horde of monsters and a demon child. Well, literal demon child.” Ami couldn’t help but smile at that. Then the teen looked confused.
    “What’s so amusing?”
“Nothing,” Ami replied, swallowing a laugh. “It’s nothing.”
“Well, then,” The teen said, “I’ll introduce myself. I’m Fenri. I’m a weretiger, as you can see.”
“I’m Ami,” Ami replied. “I’m a werewolf.” Suddenly one of Ami’s wolf ears twitched as she picked up a sound. A voice, calling out.

    In The Forest…

    Celeste’s POV, 8:30 P.M.

“Hope? Hope!” Celeste called out, trembling. Hope, one of the little girls she’d been watching, had wandered out into the forest when she wasn’t watching, which was especially dangerous for her, since she was little and vulnerable. She was an easy target for a hungry demon or wolf. Celeste shifted her feet- well, hooves, nervously. She was as much exposed to monsters as Hope was, but Celeste had more of a chance to win a fight since she’s been trained to use her powers correctly. But for Hope…
“Celeste!” A little girl’s voice cried. “H-help!” Celeste whipped around to see Hope struggling as she was stuck in brambles. Immediately worry flooded through her when she saw the faint black aura that was emitted from the unusually blue-colored brambles. Hope cried out as a thorn scraped her arm, and golden blood trickled from the scratch. The wound turned night-black, and Celeste.
“No…” Celeste whispered. Celeste focused her attention on the brambles, and said,
“Clear.” Celeste’s command was so strong, the brambles bent away from Celeste and Hope easily, coaxed by the magic. Hope whimpered as Celeste picked her up. Hope’s golden eyes began to dull, but Celeste whispered a few words into Hope’s ear and Hope’s eyes closed, but her face relaxed and Hope fell asleep, her head lolling. Celeste set Hope down gently against a tree and examined her. Hope’s white hair was tangled and dirty, and her once golden horn was dark grey and cracked. Hope had regular human skin, but not white, like all unicorns typically had, but even that was turning pale and becoming more and more white by the second. Frantically Celeste tried to heal Hope’s wounds, but the poor little girl’s scratches were already infected. Those brambles were most likely poisoned and infused with harming magic.
“Stay with me, Hope,” Celeste pleaded. “Just hang on.” Hope’s body suddenly began to jerk, and as her body spasmed, she let out a low, weak whimper, and fell limp. Her green dress was tattered and the blood flowing from Hope’s wounds had no life force behind it. Hope was dead, and there was nothing Celeste could do.

Two Days Later, At The Local Park…

    Ace’s POV, 2:35 P.M.

Ace studied Zephyr as she read a book. Her ice-blue eyes were alert and darting around, like she was anxious another piece of metal would come flying towards her and kill her. Zephyr suddenly glanced at Ace and saw them staring at her. Ace blushed with embarrassment and looked away.
“Ace?” Drift asked as she walked up to them. “You okay?”
“I’m fine,” Ace insisted. “I just… need to think.” Drift’s face softened and she sat beside them.
         “What’s troubling you?”
“The incident that happened earlier… it seemed to really rattle Zephyr. Just look at her now.” Drift winced as she took an eyeful of Zephyr and looked away. Drift heaved a sigh.
“Well, all we can do is help her now.” Drift spread her wings, and Ace got a mouthful of feathers. Ace pushed her wing away awkwardly and got to their feet.
“Careful, please.” Drift blushed and almost immediately stopped and grinned.
“Hey! I forgot to mention. I learned a new trick.” Drift’s wings shrank, and instead of being small, they disappeared completely. Drift spread her arms.
“See? Isn’t that cool?” Ace couldn’t help but flash a smile.
“Got to admit, yes, it is.” Drift’s eyes sparkled, as though pleased by the compliment. Why wouldn’t she be? Suddenly a scream shattered the peacefulness of the park, and a huge explosion blew up a statue and sent chunks of it flying everywhere. Ace backed away, eyes wide. Zephyr got to her feet, as though the explosion shook her back into who she originally was. A bow appeared in her hands out of nowhere, which kind of confused them, but Ace decided to let it slide. They’d need all the help they would get to deal with this.

    At The Local Park

    Zephyr’s POV, 2:38 P.M.

Zephyr pulled an arrow from a quiver that had appeared on her back, aiming at the smoke coming towards them. It was dark blue, grey, and dark red, and blue-and-red flames burned, making metal, plastic, and concrete melt like ice-cream in the desert. Zephyr let go of the arrow, and it flew into the chaos, and a startled gasp indicated that she had hit something. Zephyr ran closer to see a man stumble out of the chaos. He had short blonde hair with green eyes, but the way his mouth was stitched shut and the wild, crazed look in his eyes as well as his huge, demon wings made it clear to her- he was inhumane, and he worked for Aeryn.

    At The Local Park

    Zephyr’s POV, 2:42 P.M.

Zephyr backed up as the man pulled the arrow out of his wing. Blood flowed from the wound but it quickly closed, and the blood flow stopped.
“Where are you, elf?” The man bellowed. “I am Zeke, lieutenant of Aeryn, his partner in war! I’d hoped I killed all of your elvish scum!” A sword appeared in his hand. Zephyr was confused. Why was he calling her an elf? Suddenly Zeke spotted her and threw his sword. Zephyr ducked and rolled, but Zeke took out a pistol. He fired, and Zephyr’s world went black as she got hit. The last thing she heard before sinking into a deep unconsciousness was Drift’s terrified scream.

  • This is a recent snippet from my story, the F.A.N.G. Chronicles! Any advice or critique you have would be greatly appreciated!!

You’re up early,” Ferris remarked, gazing at Simon through the steam wafting off of his coffee cup. His friend was groggily fumbling around in the fridge in search of breakfast, looking as though he would rather be asleep like the sun still was. “I would think,” he added, narrowing his green eyes, “That after all of the work you did yesterday, you’d need more rest.”
“Ferris,” Simon began, as Ferris let out a sigh, knowing exactly how the sentence was going to end, “I’m fine.” Ferris spooned a bit of sugar into his coffee, watching the spoon swirl the liquid around in a little whirlpool as dark as the early morning sky. His eyes drifting back over to Simon, who was wrestling a slab of bread out of its bag.
Ventus were good at reading people. It was a curse at times, but a gift when it came to finding things out. Unlike the rest of our lovely cultural quirks, which have no pleasant flip sides, he thought, smiling stonily down at his cup.
Bitterness aside, he could tell there was no point in arguing with Simon about this, not now while the morning was still young. The circles under his eyes and the slump in his shoulders told tales of a body that longed to be at rest, but the steel in his eyes warned Ferris not to bother trying to talk him out of it.
I never have been particularly good at heeding warnings, Ferris mused, clearing his throat. “You’re always fine,” he murmured, sipping at his coffee. Simon stuck his bread in the toaster, glancing over his shoulder at Ferris.
“Exactly,” Simon returned, ignoring the point behind Ferris’ comment. Ferris met Simon’s storm green eyes with his own emerald ones. He raised a dark eyebrow at the pleading in his friend’s gaze, smiling slightly as Simon frowned.
Despite Simon’s insistence that Ferris should allow him to work himself to death, it still gave Ferris a little bit of happiness to know that his friend understood his language. With ventus, communication was hiding emotions paired with the never ending search for weaknesses to take advantage of, but with Simon it was a whole conversation.
“It’s 5 o’clock,” Ferris said, looking away first. “What is it that can’t wait another hour or two?”
“I need to fix the database so that the Guild can access their files again, then I need to check the security cameras, and Fergus wants me to help him narrow down who’s been leaking information,” Simon responded, digging an almost empty jar of peanut butter out of a cluttered cupboard.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Ferris murmured into the coffee. The statement was applicable to any of the items in Simon’s to-do list, but Ferris was referring to the peanut butter. Upon removing it from the cupboard, Simon dislodged a mountain of boxes, the entirety of which spilled over his head.
And, I have to organize this dump,” Simon grumbled, attempting to straighten up the cupboard. Ferris watched as he fit the boxes back in much neater than before, shoulders slumping.
“I can never find anything when you do that!” he protested, although he knew it was futile. Every time Simon visited, he wanted to clean Ferris’ apartment. Every time, Ferris fought him on it, and every time Ferris got his apartment cleaned. Then, he paused, sobering as he remembered the white bandage wrapped around Simon’s arm. “Si, you should be more careful of that arm,” he scolded, striding across the small kitchen and taking a box of crackers from his friend.
    “Its-”
“Got a hole in it, Simon, and that’s not fine,” Ferris chastised, allowing a bit of an edge to creep into his voice. Simon glanced up at him, and Ferris saw a flicker of frustration before the boy tried to shove it down. You can’t hide that from me, Ferris thought.
“C’mon, Ferris,” Simon said, in a voice that foretold that a bad pun was approaching, “This is the only way I’ll get a hole in one.”
Ferris let out a gusty sigh, waiting. You, my friend, are very obviously changing the subject on me, he thought with irritation, but I’m not going to win this conversation today, so I guess I’ll let it slide.
“I never have been very good at golf,” Simon finished, looking very satisfied with himself. Ferris tilted his head to the side, puzzling over the joke. “Nothing?” Simon asked, eyebrows shooting up, “You’re not even going to tell me how terrible it is?”
“Well, I can tell you’re making a joke, so it probably is terrible,” Ferris said with a grin, “But I don’t know what golf is.” Must be a human thing. Either way, it’s certainly not a ventus thing. He reached over, trying to take the peanut butter jar away from Simon. “Here, at least let me fix you breakfast,” he asked, but Simon pulled it away.
“Ferris, I can make my own breakfast,” he muttered. Ferris frowned, glancing at his friend’s bandaged arm.
“You got shot, you’ve earned it,” Ferris insisted. “C’mon, this is a once in a lifetime chance to order me around! Don’t pass this up, Wolfey.”
Simon shook his head, anger filling his green eyes. “I haven’t earned anything. It was sloppy work on my part, and sloppy work gets people hurt.” He set the peanut butter down, turning away from Ferris. As if that prevents me from knowing how you’re feeling, Ferris thought, a little hurt by the motion.
“You did your best,” Ferris insisted, “Which is a heck of a lot more impressive than a lot of the party tricks most folks can pull off.”
Simon didn’t respond, the tension in his shoulders suggesting that perhaps Ferris would be better off stating his case to a brick wall. The ventus narrowed his eyes as Simon reached into his pocket with his good hand, pulling out a white button, his fist tightening around it for a moment.
“And it’s still not enough,” Simon said blandly, regarding Ferris with a cold, relaxed gaze that didn’t match the tautness of his voice a moment before.
Not bothering to hide his scowl, Ferris shot out a hand, closing it around Simon’s wrist before he could slip the button back into his pocket, making the button clatter against the floor. “Si, I know what that is. I know what you’re trying to do, and I’m telling you now, don’t do that to yourself. Locking your emotions away isn’t going to make you stronger, you’re just shutting away what makes you who you are.”
“You’re one to talk,” Simon replied lightly. Ferris let go of his friend’s wrist, trying to reign himself back in. Nothing I’m going to say is going to stick with him when he’s like this, he thought. He knew how this conversation would be finished later. Simon would apologize, would feel guilty for the last jab, and then he’d go to work again the next day and try to fix the world single handedly once again. “Now, if you’ll excuse me,” Simon said, a hint of weariness creeping back into his voice, “We both have jobs to do. Let me do mine, okay?”
“Okay,” Ferris murmured, sipping from his coffee so that he didn’t have to see the numbness in the boy’s eyes, “Take care of yourself, please?” Simon didn’t respond. With a small sigh, Ferris set his cup down, and gently drew his friend into a hug. “You are a wonderful friend,” Ferris said softly, feeling Simon relax slightly in the shell of his wings. The comment wouldn’t mean much to him with his bleached emotions, but Ferris liked to think that Simon would remember the words later, when the spell wore off and the pain inevitably came back.
As Simon headed out the door, Ferris bent down, gingerly picking up the white sewing button. He ran his fingers over the dimpled surface, tapping it against the edge of the coffee cup as he paced the small kitchen. It took next to no magic to release the bonds on the buttons and set free the spell inside, but that was more magic than Ferris had.
Just another reminder that I’ll never understand quite what he’s going through, Ferris thought somberly, in the end we all suffer alone.

  • Hewo, fwiends!
So this is the first chapter (plus a little intro) to my newest work of art, Burned, which is going to be the first in my series, Scarred. I’m sorry to those of you who submitted characters, I began work on here before I asked for characters, so that’s the one reason they aren’t in this chapter. Two will be in the next, though, so keep an eye out! 😉

Chapter One: I Set My The School Jerk On Fire

Yes. You read that right. Bailey Blacksmite is going to Brimstone Academy.
Bailey, the mistake. Bailey, the daughter of a scarred one. Bailey, the girl who’s always causing trouble at school. Bailey, the problem fire-child whose mom abandoned her and her older sister.
At least, that’s what they whispered about me in middle school, when we first found out my father was Scarred.
My older sister, Lila, knocks on my door. “Bailey?”
“Yeah?” I yell back, still gazing at my last present from my dad: a beautiful orange sapphire embedded into a white-gold teardrop-shaped charm, which is on a white-gold chain. It’s my most prized possession, and I wear it every day.
“You packed yet?” Lila peeks her head into the room. Her dark silver eyes are glittering with excitement, and she tosses me my earbuds.
I snatch them out of mid-air. Since my sister’s seventeen, and it’s her final year of high school, she’s my legal guardian – for now, at least, until Dad gets treated (when they find a cure, that is) and comes home.
He will. I have to believe it.
Grinning, I plug the earbud jack into my phone and nod. When I click Play on my Favorite Songs playlist on Listener, immediately my favorite song of all time comes on: RISE, by League of Legends.
“Welcome to the wild; no heroes and villains,” I start singing. Lila laughs and joins in as we walk towards the front door. “Welcome to the war we’ve only begun. So pick up your weapon and face it. There’s blood on the crown? Go and take it. You get one shot to make it out alive.”
And that’s when I pause it and gaze at my house one more time.
I’ve never slept anywhere except anywhere except for inside its white walls (except, of course, for sleepovers, sleepover field trips, and vacations). It’s grey-shingled roof is a small teepee hut, and it’s got two windows at the front that makes it look really happy. It’s got a small porch, too – one just big enough for me, Lila, Mom, and Dad.
“You’re sure we’ll be okay?” I murmur nervously.
Lila nods and puts her hand on my shoulder.
“You’ll be fine,” she says soothingly, rubbing my back. “We’re gonna have a blast this year, okay?”
    I nod back.
    But I’m not so sure.

    ******************

As the bus pulls up at the school, I’m listening to The Other Side from The Greatest Showman (yet another song on my favorite songs list). I look out the window – and am immediately blown away.
For one thing, it’s big. Which is not something you expect from a boarding school in a big city, where the buildings are crammed together, with only small alleyways in between them to give them all just a little bit of space. There’s three buildings, all with a courtyard with a fountain in the center of all of them. There’s small birch trees scattered throughout the campus, which makes it look like the perfect place where I can just sit back and relax, listening to music without a care in the world. Students are walking all over the place, from one building to the next, talking to other students, sitting on the fountain, on the benches around the fountain and scattered throughout the courtyard and campus, and walking through the beautiful modern archway at the entrance.
For another thing, there aren’t any uniforms – which is so awesome, in my opinion. It means that I can wear whatever makes me most comfortable and happy, and also what helps me to learn (as long as it follows the dress code, that is). Everyone’s dressed in shorts, T-shirts, sandals, and other items that signify that it’s still technically summer, but that it’s turning into fall. I even spot one person who’s wearing a swimsuit underneath black ripped jeans.
This place looks like somewhere I could definitely fit in.
Lila smiles at my awe. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” she murmurs into my ear.
I nod, not daring to turn my gaze away in case this turns out just to be my imagination.
As I step off the bus, though, everything stops. Everyone stares at me and my sister. It’s like we’re magnets, and everyone else’s eyes are paper clips.
I hold up my hand in a nervous wave. But that doesn’t calm anything. In fact, things just get more tense.
Then one voice screams out, “Hey, Bailey!”
I whip around to see my best friend, Chip, standing next to me. His messy golden-brown hair is swept across his forehead, and his thumbs are in the pockets of his blue jeans.
I sigh with relief. “Hey, Chip. How was your summer?”
“It was awesome. You should have seen Mom’s face when I told her that your dad had been Scarred. She was all like, ‘He was? Oh, those poor children. I’m going to send them some fudge the moment I get the chance.’”
I laugh. “That’s your mom, all right. Kind to the very end.”
Slowly, everyone tears their gaze away from me and my sister and goes back to what they were doing before we got out.
“Thanks, Chip,” I mutter to him.
He shrugs. “No prob, Lee. Just say the word.” He winks.
I unpause The Other Side and continue to listen happily, as though no one is watching us, even though I catch a couple people sneaking glances at me and my sister.
I growl to myself. Hey, just because I’m a fire-child whose dad is a scarred one and whose mother abandoned her and her sister last year doesn’t give you the right to stare at us as though we’re aliens. There isn’t even such a thing as aliens!
Chip is an earth-child, just like his mom, Mrs. Willow. His twin sister, Holly, is another fire-child, like me and my dad. Lila’s an ice child, like Mom was. The eight breeds of element-children – fire, water, earth, air, ice, electricity, darkness, and light – all get along pretty well, but Chip and I have formed a bond across elements that I haven’t seen with anyone else before. It’s awesome.
A hand lands on my shoulder. When I glance back, a black-haired girl with violet eyes is standing there, smirking.
I groan. Violet’s probably looking to cause trouble. She’s one of the most popular girls in ninth grade, except that it’s not because she’s nice or any of that; no, it’s more like because she’s so beautiful and mean that no one dares to cross her. Well, no one except for a few select kids, who know that she’s nothing more than another Scarred woman’s child.
“What do you want, Violet?” I ask, adding with a hint of sarcasm, “What could a beautiful, charming, amazing and awe-striking queen of shadow want with a simple peasant like me?”
Violet pouts. “Oh, don’t be that way, Bailey. We all know that your dad’s going to be Scarred for the rest of your life.”
I stop in my tracks and spin around to glare at her.
    “Take it back,” I growl.
Violet’s eyes widen. When she speaks next, I hear traces of fear in her voice that let me know that she’s trying to still sound important and strong and a big fat jerk, but it isn’t working very well. “W-well, I was just saying that your dad isn’t going to be treated before they find a cure, and that he’ll probably stay that way for the rest of your life.”
    Something snaps.
Flame snakes up my arm, lighting my face up with anger. I see Violet’s eyes widen, and she takes a step back. She’s terrified. Good.
“If you say one more thing about my dad being scarred,” I hiss, “then I will personally make sure that you are burned from head to toe, and that you will never – NEVER – see your mom be treated, the same as my dad won’t be.”
She quickly nods, but it’s not enough to satisfy me.
I throw a punch at her. The flames consume her. She screams. I don’t. I just stand there, watching, as the horrible girl who’s a jerk and a bully burns alive.
But then ice shoots in a tendril along the ground, hissing as it touches the angry fire that’s eating happily away at Violet and her good-for-nothing shadow. Finally, when the pyres have all died out, Violet stares fearfully at me. Her skin isn’t much darker than it was where the flames licked her, just a shade of pink that looks like she got kind of sunburned.
Lila’s standing beside me, her foot extended in the ice-casting stamp she uses.
“Come on, Bailey,” she says. “Don’t waste your time on this worthless piece of trash.”
I nod grimly, and then Chip, Lila, and I walk inside the building, leaving Violet in her burned, broken wake.

Sorry that it’s kind of long, but I’ve started writing on Google Docs, and it’s giving me a lot more space, so I’ll usually write like five or six pages.
This will also be on my Wattpad (@Autumnstorm95), so go check it out on there!
    See you guys later! 🙂
