  • OKIE SO THIS IS UNOFFICIALLY OFFICIALLY MY BLOGFIC’S PLACE
    SO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO HELP CAN COME HERE
    Plot:
    It’s a normal world here. Normal food, normal gravity, normal people. For the most part, everything on Earth is good and simple. However, about 5% of the population isn’t normal. They have the unique ability to travel throughout the multiverse, to whole other worlds! They protect Earth and these other worlds from the evils that lurk in the night. Or at least, they used to.

    Every Protector has mysteriously disappeared. The Evil is coming, stronger then ever. We need to bring them back. I have a map, and some clues as to where they have gone. It seems that they have scattered over the multiverse. I, Rose De La Corazón, am sending this letter to you because I sensed you had the Gift. I need you to come here, to the help me find these people, and bring peace back to the multiverse.

    So basically, every fandom is a separate world, part of the multiverse. Evils from some smaller, forgotten worlds have risen and the Protectors aren’t able to defeat them. So my character, Rose, has sent your character the above letter as to get as many Gifted as she can, so they can find the Protectors and defeat the uniting Evils.

    I’m going to need a few writers for this to work, since I’m not in many fandoms myself and I’m also working on a few other projects.

    ~Prologue~

    Everything was calm.

    The fields glowed golden as the sun lowered, signaling night was near. The moon was visible at this point, and the stars were starting to come out.

    Near the rows upon rows upon rows of corn, was a humble barn. It may have looked like a regular barn, but in fact, it had aliens inside.

    Well, not typical aliens, I mean, they weren’t evil or anything. But they were definitely aliens.

    Anyway.

    These two aliens were minded their own business, when a portal appeared. It swirled pink and orange, matching the color of the sky outside. A small girl wearing an orange jacket stepped out.

    The two aliens gaped.

    The little girl, no more then five, waddled up to them. “Hello,” she said. “Do you have food?”

    The tall blue alien backed away, whereas the small green one tilted it’s head in curiosity.

    The little girl repeated herself. “Do. You. Have. Food.”

    The green alien answered in a similar manner. “Yes. We. Have. Food.”

    The little girl giggled. She stopped herself, then asked, “Can. I. Have. Some?”

    The blue alien grabbed a piece of corn, then threw it at the little girl. It hit her on the head softly, then bounced off. The girl grabbed it, examining it, then placed it inside her jacket. “Thank. You.” She hopped back inside her portal, which evaporated.

    The blue alien sighed. “I’m going to bed, Peridot.”

    The green alien, Peridot, grabbed a small recording device. “Peridot’s Log, 8 15 2…

    ~~~
    The little girl, back on Earth, started eating her corn. It was delicious, and good for her. Making portals every so often was one thing. But ever since her parents had died, leaving her in this harsh world alone, she had to resort to begging food from strangers in other worlds. It really sucked her energy, but what could she do? She had no relatives that could take care of her, and she certainly did not want to go to the government for help.
    So she relied on her two powers: her rare multi-dimensional powers, and her power of cuteness. Nobody could resist her face. Not even aliens.
    The little girl walked home, finishing her corn. It was past midnight, which meant it was past her bedtime.
    She hopped into her blankets, snuggling close. Tears formed in her eyes. If Mommy and Daddy were still here, they would tuck me in. They would say everything will be okay. Her grip on the blanket tightened.
    Goodnight Mommy. Goodnight Daddy.
    And with that, Rose De La Corazón cried herself to sleep.
    ————————
    Sorry for being so sad. But sometimes, things are just that. Sad.
    • AHHHH IT’S SO GOOD!
      Okay, I have some questions: Do the Gifted know they have powers? And do normal people know the Multiverse exists? Also, about the fandom thing, what if we include some stuff in our chapters that are spoilers? Do we put a spoiler warning?
      • Yes, most of the Gifted know of their powers (some may learn when I send them the letter)
        Normal people do not know the Multiverse exists, instead they know the worlds as fandoms and think that the people are not real
        Yeah, we might have to put spoiler warnings on chapters
    • Can I put my character here? If so…
      Name (human): Azuleia Fiera Jayshakir-Vlencompf (uh-zoo-lee-uh fee-air-uh jay-shah-keer vlen-cumf)
      Nickname: Fireix (fire-ex)
      Age: 15 almost 16
      Gender/Pronouns: female / she/her
      Sexuality: straight
      Backstory: When she was ten, her father (who was an alcoholic) pulled a gun and killed her mother. Young Fireix freaked, using her powers to teleport to Star Wars, steal a lightsaber, and return. She then, in a fit of anger, killed her father before returning the lightsaber to it’s proper fandom. The trauma caused her to remember nothing of the situation besides the fact that her parents had died and she had strange teleportation abilities. Since then, she has traveled the fandoms, using her powers behind the scenes to help the heroes and sometimes the villain of the stories (whichever suits her mood, really).
      Appearance: a tall light-skinned teenage girl with braided short blonde hair and eyes that shift from jay-blue to storm-grey.
      Personality: shy, introverted, arrogant, creative, intelligent, kind-hearted, quick to anger, distracted, lost
      4 Outfits-One for day, one for night, one for swimming (since we will probably do something with mermaids a mermaid appearance too) and one for formality: DAY- dark jeans, black boots, a dark green t-shirt. NIGHT- nondescript darkly colored pajamas. SWIMMING- nondescript black onepiece swimsuit. FORMALITY- dark green floor-length dress with silver designs and half-sleeves.
      Likes: reading, writing, sketching, exploring, interfering with the plot, villainy in general (that doesn’t involve killing)
      Dislikes: others stopping her from doing what she wants, someone telling her what to do
      Hobbies: same as likes
      Fandoms (extremely important): BBC Sherlock, Marvel Cinematic Universe (Movies Only), Warriors, Wings of Fire (kind of), Lunar Chronicles, anything related to Rick Riordan’s books (PJO, HoO, MCGA, KC, etc), Harry Potter, probably more I’ve forgotten
      Fears: being truly alone (that’s why she travels so much and meets a lot of characters), people she cares about dying (therefore she tries not to care), becoming truly evil (which is why she doesn’t kill people)
      BlogFriends: anyone once she gets to know them, but that might take a while =)
      Strengths: confused…
      Weaknesses: elaborate please…
      Other: often distracted or lost in thought, wanders off if bored, has a hard time sitting still
She spends more time going to other universes and watching old ’60s TV than with them. She becomes friends with people from every universe. Then one day, something happens, and her parents disappear…
      Appearance: Green eyes, freckles over her nose, and brown hair that’s always in a ponytail.
      Personality: funny, kind, happy, smart
  • Here it is! Chapter one, ready for editing and reviewing!
    The sun shone through the windows of a creaky, two-story, very old house, waking a very cranky thirteen year old. Her hair messily thrown about, the bags on her eyes enormous, her lanky arms and legs splayed out-she wasn’t exactly the image of beauty.
    She rubbed her eyes wearily. Today was very important-the day she gathered the others to her place! She needed to look sharp and professional-well, as sharp and professional a thirteen year old could look.
    Well then, Rose De La Corazón, you’ve got a lot of work ahead of you, she thought while putting on her regular tank top and hoodie. The Protectors aren’t going to find themselves. She took out her toothbrush and brushed her teeth. Then hummed and brushed her hair to look presentable. After making a hundred percent sure she was ready, she opened the door.
    Outside of the stale, elderly house lay the jungles of Rio. It was a perfect base, because hardly anyone considered themselves part of the fandom. Rose breathed deeply, taking in the sights. Ah. The beautiful smell and sounds of the jungle. She sat, deep in thought, while waiting for the arrival of the others.
    It didn’t take long before someone appeared.
    Pop! A tall girl with butterscotch hair, rather large hands and forest green eyes appeared. She wore a black shirt tucked into laced denim shorts with an unbuttoned red overshirt, circle sunglasses, and black sandals. Rose was slightly unsettled but stayed sitting.
    The foreigner looked around. “Rio, eh?”
    Rose nodded. “And you are?”
    The girl raised an eyebrow. “You don’t know?”
    Rose shrugged. “I sensed you had the Gift, but other then that, I have no idea who you are.”
    “Huh. Was I’m Jasmine, Jasmine Ywndo.”
    “Nice to meet you, Jasmine. As you might’ve guessed, I’m Rose. Rose De La Corazón.”
    Jasmine looked as if she was about to say something else when another girl appeared with a pop! This girl had caramel hair with darker strands, plus cat-like emerald green eyes. She wore light blue jean shorts, a cotton maroon shirt, white converse, and a light tan fedora. She landed on her behind gracelessly.
    Rose snorted, a foreign noise she covered up quickly.
    The other girl glared at her while dusting herself off. “I’m never going to get the hang of this,” she muttered.
    Rose felt slight sympathy, but buried it down. Now’s not the time for sympathy. She straightened herself, then spoke. “My name is Rose De La Corazón.”
    The other girl, already completely up, smiled crookedly and introduced herself. “My name’s Chiara Sparke.”
    Rose smiled back, then invited the two inside. The living room had a pale pink wallpaper with light blue flowers, two patched chairs, a beige couch, a patch multipleand messy and stained carpet. Chiara and Jasmine sat down, slightly weirded out. Pop! Another girl, taller then the rest, appeared. She had beautiful dark skin, long black hair, light green eyes, and lots and lots of freckles. Her apparel was
    cute, with a light pink top and a black mini skirt with white polka dots, plus sleek black boots that went up to her thighs.
    Rose walked out to greet her. “Hello,” she said, looking up into the face of the stranger.
    The girl smiled. “Why hello there! My name’s Luana, and you must be Rose! Glad to meet you!” She shook Rose’s hand heartily, almost lifting her up.
    “Whoooa!” Rose smiled at Luana. “You sure are strong.”
    Luana shrugged it off. “Probably because I’m seventeen and you’re twelve.”
    “Thirteen.”
    “Right.”
    As Luana strode inside, Rose waited. The next person shouldn’t take long. Sure enough, another girl appeared. She looked about the same age as Rose, maybe younger, with dirty blond hair tied back in a ponytail, blue gray eyes set in a glare. Her outfit composed of black jacket, black sweatpants, and black sneakers. Black, black, black. It was rather unnerving for Rose, who rather liked colors. Rose approached the new girl with caution.
    “Hello,” she said, beaming a bright smile. She held out her hand.
    The girl looked at Rose’s outstretched hand. She tentatively reached out, then grabbed it and shook slowly. “I’m Kelly.”
    “Nice to have you here, Kelly,” Rose murmured. This girl didn’t seem to be the type that liked loud noises. “The others are inside.”
    Kelly walked inside, taking a glance around. Rose waited. I wonder if I should check on the others, she thought. Before she could turn around, Pop!, another person had arrived. The girl looked about fifteen, with tan skin, brown-black wavy hair and brown eyes with lighter green flecks. She wore a black leather jacket with a white t-shirt, red skirt and thin black tights, plus beige flats. Instead of Rose approaching her, the girl approached Rose.
    “Hello, Rose. My name’s Rosita,” she stated. Her eyes glanced at the house behind them.
    Rose nodded towards aforementioned building. “That’s where you’ll be staying. It’s not exactly a five star hotel, but-“ Before Rose could finish, a scream erupted from the house. Rose and Rosita ran inside to a find a terrified Chiara hanging on to Luana for dear life. “Help! Help!”
    “What’s wrong?” Rose asked, ready for anything. Ninjas, assassins, chickens.
    Chiara hissed. “Spider.”
    Rose’s brow furrowed. “Spider?”
    Chiara nodded. “Over there.” She pointed to the chair she had sat in, where a small black spider had made it’s home.
    Kelly, who had made herself comfortable on the couch, looked equally as scared. Luana was patting Chiara’s hands, trying to comfort her. Rosita looked around, her face clearly saying she had no idea what the heck was going on. Rose decided to take matters into her own hands. She grabbed a book from a nearby bookshelf, then slammed it down onto the spider, effectively crushing it.
    Chiara sighed with relief, then loosened her hold on Luana. “Sorry about that,” she apologized. “I hate bugs.”
    Luana shrugged amicably. “Glad I could help. Luana Frost, regular citizen by day, protecting people from bugs at night!” She stroke a heroic pose, making everyone laugh and clearing any tension.
    Rose caught herself before she could laugh. She remembered the others, and hopped outside, waiting yet again. And it’ll continue until all the others appear.
    All of a sudden, Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! A bunch of girls appeared in a blink of an eye. They all landed on each other, making a big pile.
    Rose, shaking off shock, ran over to help them. “Are you all okay?”
    They groaned, but seemed uninjured. A girl, shortish, tannish girl with long dark brown hair, with a deep purple streak, deep purple eyes, and a lot of light freckles got up, dusting off her clothes. Her outfit consisted of dark blue jeggings, an emerald t-shirt with silver ivy designs, a brown leather belt with an iris buckle, thigh boots or silver and purple sneakers, and a shiny silver fandom necklace. Her hair was tied back stylishly in a braid. She turned to Rose and grinned.
    “You must be Rose. I’m Irissa,” she introduced herself.
    Rose smiled back. Her gaze turned to the other girls, who had already picked themselves up and dusted themselves off. Rose introduced herself to them all.
    There was Heidi, who had short, wavy blonde shoulder length hair with pastel pink ends and green-blue eyes, blue shorts, colourful stripy t-shirt, and white trainers; Isabelle, a tall latina light-skinned girl with medium long brown hair, brownish hazelish eyes, a cropped black hoodie, blue jeans and converse; Azuleia, who was a tall light-skinned teenage girl with braided short blonde hair and eyes that shifted from blue to grey, dark jeans, black boots, and dark green t-shirt (and gave off tones of gothiness; Rose was sure she and Kelly would get along well); Izarkia, a tall Asian girl with long silver-tipped black hair and icy silver eyes, big hands and feet, an aqua and silver T- shirt with gold zen tangle designs, a dark purple jacket tied around her waist, knee-length galaxy yoga pants, and black and silver sneakers; Willow, a 5’4″ girl with tan skin, dark brown eyes, black hair with wavy tips that fell slightly below her shoulders, a mint green t-shirt, black leggings, lilac sneakers, and a sky-blue headband; Ingrid, a short girl with long lanky limbs, strawberry blond hair, bright blue eyes, jean shorts, black hoodie, and rainbow sneakers; Raina Ame, a short oriental girl with a darkish tan, black hair usually in a ponytail, brown eyes, a pale pink hoodie, a blue t-shirt underneath and black leggings; and last but not least, Esmeralda, a girl with average height, green eyes, freckles over her nose, brown hair in a ponytail, purple unicorn shorts, pink unicorn shirt, and unicorn sneakers.
    After she had welcomed them all in, sat them down, and gave them all water and biscuits, she took a deep breath.
    Phase one complete.
    • Eeeeeeee! Awesome!!!
      And technically Azuleia doesn’t really get along with anyone till she knows them =D of course Rose wouldn’t know that right off the bat. Good job introducing everyone!
      All though you have Kelly’s introduction in italics, I don’t think that was on purpose…
    • I’m going to try to edit a bit
      In the beginning, try changing out-she to out- she. Same with other occrurances.
      Huh. Was I’m Jasmine, Jasmine Ywndo
      To
      Huh. Well I’m Jasmine, Jasmine Ywndo
      patch multipleand messy and stained carpet
      Not sure what you were trying to reach here, but honestly even with the space it makes no sense.
      Maybe change it to, “patched, messy, and stained”
      apparel was
      cute, w
      To
      apparel was cute, w (I get that was a mistake, but I proof read too much)
      Try fixing the italics
      Hope this helped! Probably didn’t get everything, but 😛
    • Blu and Jazzy said all of my edits, so I guess that leaves me with – AHHHHHH THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED IT SO MUCH!
      Also. One question.
      Chickens? 😛
    • OMG THIS IS GREAT AND I’M LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!!!!!! I CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Oh I’ve found a mistake! So, you don’t really know that Raina Ame has hair that’s usually in a ponytail until you know her, so change:
      black hair usually in a ponytail
      to
      black hair in a ponytail
      Also, if it’s not to late, I told you that Esmerelda’s hair is always in a ponytail, but I’ll say now that she takes it down when she gets underwater. Thank you and I’m so happy I’m in your story. Oh and you don’t need to find her parents I’ve changed my mind if you don’t want to
    • I’m was too late to edit anything but AHHH IT’S FANTASTIC SO FAR!
      I felt like the ending was bit rushed, but otherwise great! <3
  • For the next chapter, I would like to tell you that Rainshine is my mentor so I would appreciate if you made me and her character friends. And, since you are my best friend in BlogClan, I think Ingrid and Rose should get along nicely. :p
    I also have a concern, if you have so many characters, can I help with second POVs, if you are doing any. That way, it’s like it’s actually somebody else’s point of view of the current situation. 😛
    Thank you, Queenie Beanie!
  • Omsc I only realised now how much Rosita is like me! When the slider thing happened, she was just like ‘what the heck’ that’s litterally me 😛
    OMSC THIS IS GREAT ROSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
  • Here it is! Chapter 2!
    Note: Depending on feedback, I may or may not rewrite this chapter, because, to be honest, I think it is crappy. I’ve been suffering from the dreaded writer’s block, and I only wrote bit by bit, whenever I felt… idk. Luckily, my writer’s block is pretty much gone, so if this is as bad as I think it is, I’ll rewrite into something that is (hopefully) better.
    ~Chapter 2~
    Pop!
    Rose glanced outside. I missed one? A quick look determined it was not one, but two people she had missed. Two girls were strewn out on the ground, scratch that, a girl and a woman. The girl was tall, with long curly dirty blond hair in pigtails, long limbs, and freckles scattered on her face. Her apparel consisted of black pants that went to her knees, a barely visible bright turquoise t-shirt and black zipper jacket. The woman was a tall, pale-skinned brunette with icy blue-grey eyes framed by circular black glasses. She looked about twenty, and was wearing a loose grey t-shirt, jean shorts, sandals, and sunglasses over her glasses.
    Rose approached the woman with caution. “Hello, you are?” She held out her hand, partly in greeting and partly to help her up.
    The woman looked her over. “…Blanche,” she said after a few moments of silence. She grabbed Rose’s hand and pulled, getting up. She was significantly taller then everyone else, which could be both a benefit and a hinderance, depending on the situation. Rose turned to the girl, who had already dusted herself off, and opened her mouth. The girl answered her question before she could ask. “I’m Viviant.”
    Rose nodded silently, then smiled. “I was about to show everyone their rooms, so if you would come in, this is where you’ll be staying.” She gestured to the house.
    Viviant and Blanche exchanged looks. They followed Rose inside, where the others were waiting. Luana hopped up, gaping at Blanche. “Wow! You’re tall!”
    Blanche grinned crookedly. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
    Rose felt a smile on her face as well. I can count on Luana to be light and happy, at least. She forced a neutral expression onto her face and cleared her throat.
    “I’ll show you all upstairs, so please follow me in an orderly fashion.” She swiftly glided up the steps, leaving room for all sixteen girls to climb the stairs. When they all had come up, Rose waved her hand to the left hallway. “This way, we have the rooms of Chiara, Luana, Viviant, Heidi, Rosita, Irissa, Esmeralda and Izarkia. Move on out, soldiers.” The girls marched to their rooms army style.
    Rose then waved her hand to the right. “Here are the rooms for Blanche, Ingrid, Willow, Isabelle, Raina, Azuliea, Rosita, Kelly, and Jasmine. Go on.” The other group nodded and stepped into the right hallway.
    Rose nodded at both groups. “I’ll prepare some dinner while you guys settle in.” And with that, she climbed down, leaving the girls to themselves.
    And each other, of course.
    Somehow, someway, there was enough space for everyone. How it was possible, nobody knew, not even Rose.
    Each girl walked into the rooms closest to them, or the rooms that hadn’t already had someone in them. Everyone got comfortable, and by the time lunch was ready, everyone had gotten settled in and rushed, walked, or ran into the kitchen, hungry for whatever Rose had cooked up. The kitchen was a faded pastel blue, with a counter and shredded seats, and the actual kitchen hidden
    Jasmine sniffed the air. “Mmmm,” she thought. “Smells yummy.”
    Chiara took a tattered seat up to the cracked and faded tile counter and waited, tapping her feet impatiently. “Hope this girl has some Cheetos, in case she isn’t the best cook,” she muttered under her breath.
    Kelly looked out of the cracks of a boarded up window, deep in thought.
    Luana happily bounced in her chair, eager to see what Rose had made, and hummed a little tune.
    Rosita sat calmly, looking really, really chill.
    Viviant sat near Luana, taking a liking to the cheerful girl.
    Irissa placed her head in her hands, wishing she had her earphones.
    Blanche sat clumsily in her seat, accidentally bumped her elbow into Luana. She apologized multiple times, even after Luana told her it was fine.
    Heidi glanced at the at the group. She sighed quietly, thinking about her own family.
    Esmeralda was bored and blew a hair out of her face. It took a few tries.
    Isabelle twirled her hair, silently thinking about talking to the others. She was rather curious about Rose and the others, especially Chiara, Luana and Jasmine. They seemed like a lively bunch, and Isabelle was attracted to the lively.
    Raina sat, wondering about what the other girls were thinking.
    Ingrid was seated a ways from the rest, glaring at anyone who dared glance her way. She was wary of these strangers, and didn’t trust any one of them. Especially that Rose character.
    Azuleia had shadows over her face, a quiet girl alone with her thoughts. Her eyes were constantly changing pools of storm grey – or is that jay blue? Nobody was really sure. What they were sure about was the fact that she looked a little like an assassin.
    Izarkia tapped her fingers on the counter, hungry and not as patient as the others.
    Willow leaned on the counter, tracing the patterns with her fingers. She had a wistful look in her eyes, as if she was remembering something.
    After what seemed like forever to some, or to the more precise, five minutes, Rose finally came into view, carrying three trays, one on her head and two on her hands. The trays were a shiny silver color, but what interested the girls more was the food. Veggie platters were lined up on one tray, another had chicken and other meats, and the final one, the one that was ever so delicately balanced on Rose’s head, had the drinks, most of them what looked to be a chocolate milkshake. Rose carefully lowered the trays onto the counter, her mouth in a small smile.
    “Hope you like these,” she announced. “They took forever to make.”
    She passed the food around and watched, hands on hips happily, as the girls gobbled down their lunch. Afterwards, she put away the plates and took a seat on the other side of the counter, in front of the girls. She cleared her throat in a professional manner, then stretched her hands out and formed a tent with her fingers.
    “Let’s get down to business.”
    Everyone had turned their attention to Rose, eager to see what she had to say. A few still had food on their faces.
    Rose took a deep breath.
    “As you know, I gathered you all here because I needed help. The Guardians have all disappeared, scattered and in hiding, and I need you guys to help me find them and bring them together again. I have searched around, and using the information I gathered I made a map of where I estimate the Guardians are taking shelter.”
    She took a scroll of rather new-looking paper and laid it out for the girls to see. It had numerous universes listed, with locations marked and little notes scribbled down in hardly legible writing that looked to be a mixture of cursive and print.
    Rose pointed her index finger to a rather large universe that was heavily marked. The middle of it contained large letters that formed the words known by most, if not all, of the group – Harry Potter. “My research indicates one of Guardians, Kathryn O’Brien, was a big fan of the Harry Potter universe, as she visited it the most often. That’ll be our first quest.”
    Chiara snorted. “Quest?”
    Rose frowned. “Mission? Goal?” She threw her hands up. “Whatever we call it, it’ll be the first place we go. I figured since most of us have been there before, we should know the territory well, so if anything or anyone finds us there, we should be able to handle it. Any questions?”
    About half the girls raised their hands.
    “Izarkia?”
    Izarkia cleared her throat. “Who are we looking for, exactly? What information should we acquire before we go into this universe?”
    Rose readjusted her hands. “Kathryn O’Brien is a 25-year-old woman with red hair, bright blue eyes, and a purple and blue amulet passed down to her by her grandmother. Source: The Guardian Archives, Volume 67. Luana?”
    Luana gave Rose a small smile and pulled her hand down. “Where are we going to look?”
    Rose didn’t smile back. “I’d think Hogsmeade would be a good place to start. Kelly?”
    Kelly took her hand down. “What evils were you talking about in your letters? Who are what could find us? I feel like we have the right to know.”
    Rose fidgeted with her fingers. The other girls took down their raised hands and an uncomfortable silence came over the group.
    After a moment, Rose spoke, voice clear and loud. “When I first went to the Archives, a huge library that looked like ruins but actually contained decades of valuable knowledge, I had to hide in the branches of trees. Below me, dozens of creatures – no, beasts, made of shadows and dark magic, with distorted and disgusting faces, guarded the entrance. It looked like they were intelligent creatures, and if you looked at the right angle you could see small earphone-like objects attached to their ears. I had to sneak in through a crack in the walls, and while I was entering I overheard a peculiar conversation between two of the guards.”
    The girls leaned in ever so slightly.
    “‘I heard The Queen has been brought back,’ murmured a large one. ‘Really? I thought The Doctor wouldn’t bring her back till later,’ muttered a smaller one. ‘Apparently what you thought was wrong.’ The larger one laughed heartily. ‘The Doctor is spontaneous, Jorge, as he should be, lest those pesky Guardians interfere with his work.’ I gasped quietly at this. The other one, Jorge, spoke up. ‘The Doctor, do you know him personally, Manuel?’ Manuel shook his huge head. ‘All I’ve heard is stories, stories of his glorious work. Bringing classic villains out of retirement, creating his own army, making us – the man is a genius! No one has seen him face to face though, except for his bodyguards and the Classics.’ At this time, I had already started to sneak away, and I didn’t hear anymore. I believe whoever this ‘Doctor’ character is, he is up to no good, making creatures like that.” She spat the last word like poison and brought her hands to her sides.
    The girls had mixed emotions spread out on their faces. Some showed skepticism, others showed disgust, and some just plain fear. It all created a rather uncomfortable atmosphere for the group.
    After a few moments of silence, Luana cleared her throat loudly, causing several pairs of eyes to turn on her. “I have an idea on how we can bond together. If we’re going to go against some huge army, we should at least do it together, as a team! And the first step to flawless teamwork is trust. Sleepover in my room!” She curled her hand into a fist and pumped it up.
    The other girls looked at each other. Jasmine, Chiara, Isabelle and Irissa were the first to step up, smiling broadly.
    Blanche, Rosita, Heidi, and Raina came next, nodding their heads. Viviant, Esmeralda, and Willow were close behind. Luana grinned.
    Izarkia looked around awkwardly. She really didn’t want to… but it might be nice? This is why I don’t work with groups. Or have friends. Their both too confusing. The girls turned their heads to Ingrid while waiting for Izarkia’s answer.
    Ingrid shook her head. “No thanks,” she declined with icy politeness. Her gaze was turned down as she got off her chair and hopped up the steps, eager to get away from those watching eyes.
    Azuleia got up as well. “Hard pass.” She walked to her room in the silence that followed her words. A few moments later, Izarkia decided.
    “Ok.”
    Luana squealed with happiness, wrapping Izarkia in a big hug. “Yay!”
    A rather annoyed expression crossed the crushed girl’s face. “Get off me.”
    “Sorry.” Luana dropped her promptly.
    Then the large group trained their eyes on Rose, waiting for her answer. Luana held out her hand invitingly, smiling warmly. “So? You in?”
    Rose felt heat creep onto her neck. She didn’t like this kind of pressure, she never did, and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to go. But this was her chance, a rare chance to make actual, real life friends. It was worth a shot, right?
    “Yes, I’m in.”
    hmmmm on a scale of zero to ten, how cringe was that assault to the eyes? Eight maybe?
