    • He’s Thistleclaw’s dark forest mentor, right? Did he show up in any other books?

      • Yes. Thistleclaw got Silverhawk while Crookedstar got Mapleshade.
Silverhawk showed up whenever Thistleclaw was training in Dark Forest I believe.

Silverhawk also showed up in Omen of the Stars where Thistleclaw totally disrespected him.😛
Dark Forest gets no respect. Not even if you are Brokenstar.

        P.S.
Just checked the Warriors Wiki and it is not updated. Granted, Silverhawk appeared so briefly it was easy to miss him. Last I read Omen of the Stars, he is still in Dark Forest.

        • Yeah, I only remember him because he has an epic name.

      • ME TOO!!!!!!!!!! Oh jeez, now I want it to be Silverhawk, even though Ashfur makes more sense!

      • yep it would be a great plot point. I hope itś Silverhawk he has an epic name, also we don´t know a lot about his background.

      • Oh gosh! What color are Clear Sky’s eyes? Also, didn’t Clear Sky cause the first battle because he wanted power? Oh jeez, now I WANT it to be Clear Sky!

        • Clearskyś eyes are blue or dark blue. I would like it much better if the imposter was clearsky. He makes sense in a few ways.

*Spoilers for Dawn of the clans, Cloudstars journey, (I think) vision of shadows, and The broken code!

          1. In cloudstarś journey THUNDERCLAN were the ones who most wanted skyclan out of the forest
          2. His eating before elders is kinda like kicking Jaggedpeak out
          3. The warrior code meant a lot to him as he helped create it
          4. He had blue eyes and grey fur (look at the cover hmmm…)
          5. He had a deed grudge with his son THUNDERSTAR
          6. He could be angry at the other clans mistreatment of skyclan
          7. He wouldńt recognize the lake territories as he was from the old forest
          8. There was no skyclan cats named except Tree (a loner with no skyclan blood)
          9. He is not familiar with new cats

I can´t think of anything else but there proboly is more

          • Also the obsession with borders. (I love how I suggested this for the VOS spoiler page and everybody was like no!) However, Clear sky got over hating Thunder in DotC

        • If it is Skystar I go cuckoo.

          *SSSKKKYYYSSSTTTAAARRCANTYOUSTOP!SOMANYPEEPSYOUINLOVEWITH!ANDWHYSQUIRRELFLIGHT!

  • Here is one more reason:

What ha s the imposter done to RiverClan? Most of what he had done goes to ThunderClan and ShadowClan. What does Ashfur have against ShadowClan? Nothing. What does Stonefur have against ShadowClan? His entire life that could have happened had he survived.
Ashfur has business with Squirrelflight and Bramblestar, not all of ThunderClan. Stonefur has a lot against ThunderClan. Like how Bluestar gave him away, and ThunderClan never looked for him, recognized him, and forgot about him.
Has the imposter done anything to WindClan or RiverClan? Not that I know of.

Still, please.remember that this is all just a random thought. I’m not even sure I believe this is it. And Stonefur is one of my favorite cats.

  • Here are some of my crazy plan b’s:
    1. It’s Firestar because he really didn’t want to die, and he wants to keep being leader. It would also explain why the impostor loves Squirrelflight.
    2. It’s Spottedleaf. She wants to make everyone miserable, especially Squirrelflight and anyone related to Sandstorm because she didn’t get Firestar. This is her revenge.
I don’t truly believe in any of these plan b’s, but if they are true(which I highly doubt) I can say I knew it, or I told you so. 😉

        • Well if u read dawn of the clans (spoiler alert)

Then u would know that the largest clan at the end of the ark is SkyClan which consists of nine cats and Clear Sky. And this was before the warrior code, so a lot of cats might have switched clans. End of spoiler.

    • ive believed that it was firestar and spottedleaf too!
maybe spottedleaf’s reason would be different though, I think it would be:
After she vanished into thin air, she lost sense of how a clan works out and what happened in her past life. Then she saw Brokenstar and other faded DF warriors, and she started learning from them and noticed that they have good intentions and it is good in them and sees why they wanted to attack StarClan. Then she suddenly is back in the real world as a ghost and she doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t see anyone else and then she spots Bramblestar just drifting around, then she accidentally claimed his body and then she noticed how judgy and mean StarClan can be.

      • Please no. I love Spottedleaf. Plus, she died twice and disappeared forever…
        R.I.P Spottedleaf

        • Same here. I love Spottedleaf and I was really hoping she and Firestar could be together (not as mates, just friends) because Firestar never got to know her that well in life OR death… Hrmph

  • A few other plan b’s:

Scourge’s ghost kills the imposter, then takes over Bramblestar himself

Tigerstar(tpb) never died, because he faked his death, and takes over Bramblestar after the imposter is dealt with

Turns out Rootspring was helping Tigerstar(TPB), instead of Bramblestar, because Bramblestar was ultimately destroyed.

I’m the blurb for The Place of No Stars, it says Squirrelflight has disappeared. Turns out Scourge has been possessing her the whole time, explaining the one white paw, and left with the imposter, leaving all of the clans in peace forever (or at least till the next series) Squirrelflight is now in StarClan, sadly.

  • Ahhhh, that cover! It’s so vibrant and amazinnggggg
I saw that cover a few days ago and you can click here for the reveal page on the official Warriors website.
That cat on the cover is definitely Ashfur OR it is a cat that we never knew about for sure.

  • Just because it might be Ashfur on the cover doesn’t mean that Ashfur is the imposter. Ashfur might have tried to help Squirrelflight.

    • This is very unlikely though… I just don’t want the villian to be Ashfur, so I’m looking at all other possibilities. XD. Also, to add onto what c comment said somewhere else, is it possible that it is Clear Sky? And doesn’t Squirrelflight look an awful lot like… Thunder? His (disowned) son? Explains why he would be sad when Squirrelflight “dies”.

(Plz do NOT make the villain Ashfur!”

  • READ THIS FOR PROOF OF THE IMPOSTER * SPOILER ALERT*
With all this evidence I’m 10000% sure the imposter is ASHBOY

    – As of Veil of Shadows he is confirmed to have dark blue eyes and Ashboy’s got em
    – The imposter is a tom
    – loves/obsessed with Squirrelflight and also knows her really well
    – says ” It’s good to see you haven’t lost your fire Squirrelflight”
    – In Lost Stars and some of the silent thaw Bramblefake wants Squrriel around ALL the time
    – After exiling her he still wants to know her whereabouts
    – When SquirrelFlight fakes her death on the Thunderpath he is very sad and literally breaks into tears
    – He is shocked when Squirrel is Alive during the battle but overjoyed and really happy
    – He says ” I came back for you Squirrelflight”
    – The cat on the cover for Place of No Stars looks a lot similar to Ashfur…..
    – During Veil of Shadow he says ” I came went and came back from Starclan more powerful than you think” meaning he was already a StarClan cat
    – He is not working alone though, he is most likely working with other cats from the dark forest like thistleclaw, mapleshade and perhaps sleekwhisker
    – He is only possessing bramblestar to get close to Squirrelflight while going through the plan
My theory is that Ashfur met a group of dark forest warriors like Mapleshade and thistleclaw, snowtuft and they convinced him to help them out with their plan and he agreed cuz they allowed him as the role of Bramblefake
    – He doesnt recognize the new territories ( cuz of Skyclan)
    – Bramblefake isnt familar with SkyClan or even new cats of thunderclan
    – At the end of Veil of Shadows Squirrelflight yells out at the gathering that she knows who the imposter is and she says if shes right THEY’RE IN MORE TROUBLE THAN THEY THOUGHT
    – She is very disturbed about Ashfur being in Starclan during Squirrelflights hope and he seems ” peaceful”
    – Tries to murder Sparkpelt ( Bramble and Squirrel’s daughter) ….. very suspicious
SORRY FOR A LOT OF WRITING BUT I HOPE THIS CONVINCES YOU

ALSO COMPARE THESE FRONT COVERS AND IT’LL CONVINCE U

  • One question: What does Ashfur have against half-clan cats? Or codebreakers? Like, shouldn’t Ashfur have been glad Hollyleaf spilled the secret? That basicly allowed him an entire chance to go for Squirrelflight(other than the fact that he tried to kill Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf ruining their entire lives. Way to go Ashfur). But what about Spotfur? And why would he like Bristlefrost? Why would Ashfur elect Berrynose his deputy?

I get I said one question, but I had to get that out.

    • Well, um, codebreaking is what got him killed, because Hollyleaf broke the Warrior Code when she killed him. Hollyleaf was also half-Clan, which would explain why he hates half-Clan cats so much. Also, he didn’t like Jayfeather or Lionblaze either since he thought they were Bramblestar and Squirrelflight’s kits, and since they are half-Clan, he can probably use that excuse to get back at them for a) Their sister killing him, and b) For being Bramblestar and Squirrelflight’s adoptive kits.
As for Berrynose, since he is a people-pleaser, it was probably easier for Ashfur to appoint him as deputy since Berrynose would follow his every command. Also, he may like Bristlefrost because technically, if you go on the Wiki and look at the family relations section for her, Squirrelflight is Bristlefrost’s great, great aunt, and since Ashfur likes Squirrelflight, and since Squirrelflight’s relationship with Bramblestar has nothing to do with her being related to Bristlefrost, he may like Bristlefrost more because of that. On top of that, Bristlefrost was loyal to him in the beginning, so he may have a soft spot for “loyal” cats, or he just likes them since they are more agreeable.
Furthermore, him trying to kill Sparkpelt makes sense, since she is Bramblestar’s biological daughter and he hates Bramblestar. Him killing Spotfur also makes sense because he doesn’t like Lionblaze (For reasons I said above, and also because he tried to kill Lionblaze) and he may have wanted to hit Lionblaze where it hurts the most by killing his daughter.

      • But he couldn’t have planned to kill Sparkpelt. He was luring the dogs there for several days, right? He probably planned to make an example of any random cat. Sparkpelt just happened to be the one who broke his rules then.
Also, Spotfur isn’t dead, is she?

        • Oh oof. Right. Stemleaf was the one killed. I keep getting Spotfur and Stemleaf confused. All I can think of for Stemleaf though is that he is Bramblestar’s second cousin.

          • I used to also. Then I just remembered, one is the daughter of Lionblaze(Spotfur) and the other is the son of Thornclaw( A) i think and B) Stemleaf).

  • I’m kind of annoyed. People think that two of my favorite cats are evil! Spiresight and Goosefeather.

Spiresight: He might actually be working with the imposter. I’d really hate it, but at least this theory has some evidence. Still, I don’t think it fits with his character. In Tigerheart’s Shadow, he seemed like a kind and caring cat. He sacrificed his life for a kit that he never even knew very well. Many people also think that Antfur died because someone was trying to possess him. Spiresight and ANtfur were friends! He would never do that! But I must say that there’s enough evidence so that it could be possible.

Goosefeather: How could it possibly be hime?!? There was literally no evidence. He was on StarClan’s side during the Great Battle! I just can’t believe that some people think that.

    • Yeah, I definitely don’t think it is or want it to be Spiresight. Spiresight’s main role was in Tigerheart’s Shadow, and he was a good cat in that book. He should be kept as just a sort of “one-book” or “major-for-one-book” cat. It’s fine that he has a little bit of time in TBC, especially with helping Shadowsight, since they are linked together in a lot of ways, and even him becoming a major character agian is fine, as long as he isn’t a villain, because that would just mess up what was laid out for him in Tigerheart’s Shadow, which I still think was a really important book for Spiresight’s character.

  • I have the weak arguments why it is not Ashfur.

    1. Only ThunderClan knew he was bad, and Ashfur is not “much worse”

    2. He is not lazy at all! He always was a great warrior pitching in to help his clan.

    • To explain why the imposter Bramblestar is so lazy, whoever possessed the body was going out on spirit-walks at night (I sense proof, but not sure yet), which may well tire them out when they return to the body.

  • If the impostor is Ashfur I hope Hollyleaf shows up. After all, she killed him, so she might feel responsible.

  • About killing Sparkpelt, he used the same tactic that Tigerstar used when he lured the dogs to the clans and murdered Brindleface Ashfur’s mother. He used prey to lure them there and so did bramblefake ( Ashfur)

    • Right, but he had to lure the prey there for several days, to let the scent build up. He didn’t know it would specifically be Sparkpelt who disobeyed him.

      • Although I thought of something: He lured the dogs to the old Twoleg nest, right? Where herbs grow? And Alderheart and Jayfeather go to collect them……
